Sports Trainers
Eligibility Criteria of Sports Trainers :
Qualifications: NSNIS Diploma in Sports Coaching in the concerned sports discipline
Age Limit: The upper age limit shall be 40 years.
Roles & responsibilities : The Sports Trainer shall be responsible for planning,
conducting, monitoring, and evaluating sport-specific training programmes aimed at enhancing athlete performance, ensuring athlete welfare, and supporting the overall objectives of the Sports Authority of India (SAI), Regional Centre, Mumbai or any other Centre under its administrative control, jurisdiction, supervision or direction. The scope of work shall include, but not be limited to, the following:
Assist the Head Coach in planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating structured sport-specific training programmes in accordance with the training plans and performance objectives.
Conduct individual, group, and team training sessions to develop athletes technical, tactical, physical, and psychological competencies.
¢ Monitor athlete performance through systematic observation, performance testing, record maintenance, and provide constructive feedback to athletes and coaching staff for continuous improvement.
¢ Maintain accurate records relating to athlete attendance, training workload,
performance progression, equipment inventory, and other documentation as required by SAI.
¢ Coordinate training schedules, competitions (if any), camps, and travel logistics in consultation with the coaching and administrative staff.
¢ Foster discipline, teamwork, professionalism, sportsmanship, motivation, and a positive learning and training environment conducive to athlete development.
¢ Support talent identification, athlete screening, performance evaluation, and selection processes for training and development programmes.
¢ Conduct practical and theoretical training sessions for coaching education programmes, wherever assigned, in accordance with the approved curriculum,
academic calendar, and institutional guidelines.
¢ Coordinate internal and external assessments, evaluate trainee performance,
prepare examination-related documentation, and assist the Course Coordinator and faculty in academic activities as required.
¢ Contribute to curriculum development, lesson planning, assessment design,
academic coordination, and coaching education initiatives as directed by SAI.
¢ Ensure that all training programmes emphasize technical excellence, coaching methodology, ethical conduct, athlete development, and continuous qualified improvement.
¢ Collaborate with sports science and sports medicine professionals, including strength and conditioning experts, physiotherapists, nutritionists, psychologists,
and biomechanists, to implement evidence-based training interventions and optimize athlete performance.
¢ Monitor athlete workload, recovery status, fatigue levels, injury prevention strategies, and return-to-play protocols in coordination with the multidisciplinary support team.
¢ Ensure strict adherence to athlete safety standards, conduct periodic inspections of sports equipment and training facilities, and promptly report injuries, incidents, hazards, or rule violations to the competent authority.
¢ Promote awareness of anti-doping regulations and ensure compliance with the provisions and guidelines of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), National
AntiDoping Agency (NADA), and all applicable SAI policies.
¢ Maintain confidentiality of athlete information, performance data, medical records, and organizational information in accordance with institutional policies and applicable regulations.
¢ Remain updated with the latest sport-specific rules, technical regulations,
coaching methodologies, sports science developments, and international best practices relevant to the discipline.
¢ Participate in professional development programmes, certification renewals,
workshops, seminars, refresher courses, and other capacity-building initiatives as mandated by SAI or other competent authorities.
¢ Prepare and submit periodic reports, performance analyses, training summaries, utilization reports, and any other documentation as required by SAI
Regional Centre, Mumbai or any Centres under its supervision.
¢ Maintain effective coordination and communication with coaches, athletes,
administrators, support staff, officials, and other stakeholders to facilitate the smooth conduct of training and competition activities.
¢ Perform all duties in compliance with the policies, guidelines, rules,
regulations, and operational procedures prescribed by the Sports Authority of
India from time to time.
¢ Undertake any other duties, responsibilities, assignments, or tasks entrusted by the Sports Authority of India (SAI), Regional Centre, Mumbai, or any Centres under its supervision, or any competent authority from time to time in the interest of athlete development, coaching, academic activities, competitions,
administration, or any other official requirement.
Junior Sports Associate
Roles & responsibilities :
The Junior Sports Associate shall provide administrative, operational, and technical support for the effective implementation, monitoring, and coordination of various schemes, programmes, and initiatives of the Sports Authority of India
(SAI). He/she shall work in close coordination with internal divisions, athletes,
coaches, National Sports Federations (NSFs), State Associations, Ministries, and other stakeholders to ensure efficient execution of SAIs objectives.
The key responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to, the following: Serve as the primary point of contact for athletes assigned under various SAI and Khelo
India schemes, providing end-toend administrative support and timely resolution of schemerelated queries and requests. Coordinate the processing of athlete proposals, including scrutiny, documentation, approvals, and follow-up with concerned divisions to ensure timely execution and compliance with prescribed guidelines. Support the implementation, monitoring, and administration of SAI schemes, Khelo India initiatives, and other sports development programmes in accordance with applicable policies, operational guidelines, and Government of
India directives. Liaise and coordinate with the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports
(MYAS), National Sports Federations (NSFs), State Sports Associations, Regional
Centres, National Centres of Excellence (NCOEs), private academies, training centres, vendors,
and other stakeholders for effective programme implementation. Maintain and update athlete databases, beneficiary records,
official correspondence, scheme documentation, financial records, and other relevant files in compliance with SAI policies, record management practices, audit requirements, and other relevant statutory requirements. Prepare, compile,
analyze, and present Management Information System (MIS) reports, analytical dashboards, performance reports, utilization reports, and other data-driven inputs for review by senior management. Update and maintain athlete profiles and scheme-related information on SAI, Khelo India, and other designated digital platforms to ensure accuracy, transparency, and effective monitoring. Address athlete grievances relating to scholarships, equipment, training support,
allowances, competition participation, accommodation, travel, and other entitlements, ensuring timely Educational Qualification: Graduate Specialization:

Age Limit: The upper age limit shall be 40 years. No relaxation in age shall be permissible. resolution or appropriate escalation. Assist in the planning,
coordination, and execution of selection trials, coaching camps, competitions,
talent identification programmes, meetings, workshops, conferences, and other official events, including travel, accommodation, logistics, venue coordination,
and documentation. Support procurement and vendor management activities by preparing proposals, specifications, comparative statements, and related documentation in accordance with General Financial Rules (GFR), Government procurement procedures, and SAI guidelines. Prepare official notes, office memorandum, draft communications, presentations, reports, briefing papers,
analytical inputs, and other documentation to facilitate administrative decisionmaking and policy implementation. Assist in digital documentation,
reporting, content compilation, dissemination of scheme-related information, and maintenance of records for internal and external stakeholders. Coordinate with
Finance, Accounts, Administration, Legal, Procurement, IT, and other functional divisions to ensure smooth implementation of assigned schemes and projects.
Monitor timelines, deliverables, and compliance requirements of assigned schemes and submit periodic progress reports to the competent authority.
Maintain confidentiality of official records, athlete information, financial documents, and sensitive data while adhering to applicable Government of India rules, SAI policies, and data protection protocols. Provide administrative and operational support for any special projects, policy initiatives, sports development programmes, or strategic assignments undertaken by SAI from time to time. Any other duties and responsibilities, administrative, technical, operational, financial,
or scheme-related work, as assigned by the Sports Authority of India (SAI),
Regional Centre Mumbai, or any Competent Authority from time to time, shall also form part of the Scope of Work
