Role Description

- Design, develop and execute detailed test plans, test cases and test scripts for web, API and mobile applications based on requirements and user stories.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, system, smoke and exploratory testing across the full software development lifecycle.
- Build, maintain and extend automated test suites using tools such as Selenium, Playwright or Cypress for UI, and Postman / RestAssured for API testing.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing and rapid, reliable feedback on every build.
- Perform API testing, database validation and backend verification to ensure end-to-end data integrity across the stack.
- Log, track and triage defects using tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps, and work closely with developers to reproduce, isolate and resolve issues.
- Conduct performance,



load and security testing where applicable, and participate in requirement reviews, sprint planning and code reviews.
- Use AI-assisted testing tools responsibly to accelerate test case generation, test data creation and defect analysis while validating every output.

Required Experience & Technical Skills

- Experience: 5 years of professional QA experience, with demonstrable ownership of both manual and automated testing across web, API and mobile applications.
- Manual Testing: Test case design, functional/regression/UAT testing, exploratory testing, boundary & edge-case analysis, defect lifecycle management
- Automation: Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, Cypress, TestNG / JUnit, Page Object Model, data-driven & keyword-driven frameworks
- API & Backend Testing: Postman, RestAssured, SoapUI, SQL for database validation, contract & integration testing
- Mobile Testing: Appium, manual testing on Android/iOS devices and emulators, cross-device & cross-browser compatibility testing
- Performance & Security: JMeter or equivalent load-testing tools, basic security/vulnerability testing awareness (OWASP Top 10)
- CI/CD & Tools: Git, Jenkins / Azure DevOps Pipelines, Jira / Azure Boards for defect and test management, TestRail / Zephyr for test management
- AI-Assisted Testing: AI-assisted test case and test-data generation, critical review of AI-generated test artifacts, prompt-based defect triage
