Position description: The role involves overseeing and managing the operations and maintenance activities of the SMS 2 Crane Maintenance department at Jindal Stainless Limited, a leading company in the Mining & Metals industry. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of crane operations, coordinating maintenance schedules, and leading a team of technicians and engineers. This position requires a robust technical background in heavy machinery maintenance, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to implement preventive maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and optimize crane performance in a high-demand industrial environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

- Lead and supervise the SMS 2 Crane Maintenance team to ensure timely and effective maintenance of all crane equipment.
- Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance plans to enhance crane reliability and reduce operational downtime.
- Coordinate with production and safety departments to align maintenance activities with operational schedules and safety standards.
- Monitor and analyze crane performance data to identify potential issues and recommend corrective actions.




- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies related to crane operations and maintenance.
- Manage spare parts inventory and procurement to support uninterrupted maintenance activities.
- Prepare and maintain detailed maintenance records, reports, and documentation for audit and review purposes.
- Train and mentor maintenance staff to improve technical skills and adherence to best practices.
- Collaborate with engineering and procurement teams for upgrades, modifications, and procurement of new crane equipment.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure equipment integrity and operational safety.
