About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Shopify Developer to join our dynamic development team in a lead capacity. This role is pivotal in designing, developing, and maintaining highly customized Shopify storefronts, primarily utilizing headless Shopify and Shopify Plus frameworks.

The ideal candidate will bring extensive back-end development expertise, with hands-on experience working with Shopify’s API, GraphQL, and advanced customization features. You will play a crucial role in architecting scalable, high-performance eCommerce solutions that meet complex client requirements. As a senior member of our team, you will also mentor junior developers, provide technical guidance, and collaborate closely with clients and project managers to ensure the successful delivery of innovative digital solutions.

Qualifications

- Minimum of 7+ years of professional back-end development experience, with a proven track record in custom Shopify projects, especially in headless Shopify and Shopify Plus environments.
- Proficiency in Liquid, PHP, and Node.js,



with a strong understanding of their application within Shopify’s architecture.
- Deep familiarity with Shopify’s headless architecture, APIs, and GraphQL for seamless integrations.
- Experience working with modern JavaScript frameworks such as Next.js.
- Solid knowledge of back-end optimization techniques, including caching strategies, server management, and database tuning.
- Hands-on experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
- Understanding of SEO best practices tailored for Shopify stores.
- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to facilitate collaboration with frontend developers.

Responsibilities

- Lead the development of custom Shopify stores, utilizing headless Shopify and Shopify Plus features to deliver tailored eCommerce solutions.
- Design and implement integrations with third-party services, including payment gateways, CRMs, and inventory management systems, ensuring seamless connectivity.
- Build highly customized storefronts that extend Shopify’s capabilities, aligning with client-specific business needs and branding.
- Work with Node.js and PHP to develop backend solutions, optimize server-side functionalities, and ensure high performance for large-scale websites.
- Optimize website performance by implementing best practices for load times, scalability, and responsiveness, especially during traffic spikes.




- Collaborate closely with clients and project managers to understand business goals, translating them into technical specifications and solutions.
- Mentor junior developers, establishing best practices for coding, scalability, and maintainability across projects.
- Provide ongoing maintenance, troubleshooting, and support for existing Shopify stores, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal operation.
