Role: STB Developer

Experience: 5-12 years

Location: Chennai/ Bangalore

Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain Set-Top Box software and applications.
- Develop features for IPTV, OTT, Hybrid TV, and Broadcast TV platforms.
- Work on middleware, device drivers, and application frameworks.
- Integrate video streaming technologies and DRM solutions.
- Debug and resolve system-level and application-level issues.
- Collaborate with OEMs, chipset vendors, and cross-functional teams.
- Perform performance optimization and memory management activities.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure software quality standards.
- Support deployment, testing, and production issue resolution.

Qualifications :

- Strong programming experience in C/C++.
- Hands-on experience with Linux Embedded Systems.
- Experience in Set-Top Box (STB) Development.
- Knowledge of IPTV, DVB, DTH, OTT, or Broadcast Technologies.
- Experience with RDK (Reference Design Kit) platform.
- Understanding of Video Streaming Protocols:

HLS

MPEG-DASH

RTSP

RTP/UDP

Knowledge of DRM Technologies

Widevine

PlayReady

Verimatrix

Experience with Git, Jira, and Agile methodologies.

Solid debugging and troubleshooting skills.
