Role Overview:

As a ServiceNow Developer specializing in CMDB Operations, you will be the primary architect and custodian of the organization's Configuration Management Database. You will work closely with cross-functional IT infrastructure teams, process owners, and stakeholders to ensure the integrity, accuracy, and availability of configuration data. Your daily efforts will directly impact the business by providing a reliable single source of truth that powers incident management, change control, and strategic IT planning, ensuring that the enterprise ecosystem remains stable and audit-ready.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and implement robust CMDB health models to ensure data accuracy and completeness across the enterprise configuration landscape.
- Configure and maintain ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping to automate the identification and relationship tracking of IT assets.
- Develop custom business rules, script includes, and client scripts to automate data population and reconciliation processes for internal stakeholders.
- Lead the remediation of data quality issues by analyzing CI discrepancies and implementing automated reconciliation rules to maintain a clean environment.
- Collaborate with IT service management teams to integrate CMDB data with incident,



problem, and change management workflows to improve operational decision-making.
- Manage the lifecycle of configuration items, ensuring that all assets are correctly classified, attributed, and maintained according to organizational standards.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated expertise in ServiceNow platform development with a deep focus on the CMDB, CSDM framework, and Discovery modules.
- Proven ability to write clean, efficient server-side and client-side scripts using JavaScript to extend ServiceNow functionality.
- Strong analytical capabilities to troubleshoot complex data synchronization issues and perform root cause analysis on discovery failures.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively translate technical CMDB requirements into actionable workflows for non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively in an on-site setting, collaborating closely with local engineering teams to drive project milestones.
- A minimum of 5 to 15 years of professional experience in IT service management and platform development, specifically within the ServiceNow ecosystem.
