About the Opportunity

HummingBird is hiring a Quality Assurance Engineer on behalf of its client, a leading technology-driven organization based in Noida.

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability, performance, and functionality of software products and applications. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in software testing, test automation, defect management, and working closely with development and product teams.

The successful candidate will play a key role throughout the software development lifecycle, from understanding requirements and designing test strategies to executing tests and supporting production releases.

Key Responsibilities

- Analyze business and technical requirements to identify testing requirements and potential risks.
- Develop comprehensive test plans, test scenarios, test cases, and test scripts.
- Perform functional, integration, system, regression, smoke, and end-to-end testing.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts where applicable.
- Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects through resolution.
- Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to investigate and resolve issues.
- Execute test cases across different environments and platforms.




- Validate application functionality, usability, performance, and reliability.
- Participate in test planning, estimation, and release-readiness activities.
- Perform regression testing following application enhancements, fixes, and releases.
- Contribute to improving QA processes, testing frameworks, tools, and methodologies.
- Maintain accurate testing documentation and reports.
- Analyze test results and communicate quality risks and issues to relevant stakeholders.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Support production validation and troubleshooting when required.
- Ensure software releases meet established quality standards.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 6–10 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance / Software Testing.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, QA methodologies, and defect-management processes .
- Hands-on experience with functional and regression testing.
- Experience creating detailed test cases and test scenarios.
- Strong experience with defect tracking and test-management tools.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments .
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Technical Skills Experience with several of the following will be preferred:

- Automation Testing: Selenium,



Playwright, Cypress, Appium, or similar.
- Programming: Java, Python, JavaScript, or similar languages.
- API Testing: Postman, REST Assured, SoapUI, or equivalent.
- Database Testing: SQL and relational databases.
- Test Management: JIRA, Azure DevOps, TestRail, or similar.
- CI/CD: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or equivalent.
- Version Control: Git/GitHub/GitLab.
- Experience testing web, mobile, API, or enterprise applications.

Preferred Skills

- Experience building or maintaining automated testing frameworks.
- Strong understanding of automation best practices and test coverage.
- Experience with API and integration testing.
- Knowledge of performance and load-testing tools such as JMeter or similar.
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps teams.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker is an advantage.
- ISTQB certification will be an added advantage.
