Overview

Gallagher Center of Excellence is seeking to hire a Senior QA Engineer with strong Python programming knowledge and hands-on experience in the PyTest automation framework. This role involves preparing test scripts and test data, building PyTest automation, executing manual and automated tests, performing SQL validation, documenting defects, and supporting RCA. The Senior QA Engineer will use Azure DevOps (ADO)/Jira or any tool for test case management, defect tracking, sprint visibility, and end-to-end traceability.

The role will ensure quality across software, data, API, ETL, and reporting solutions; Front end validation (Power BI/Tableau) testing knowledge is an added advantage.

Major Action and Support Actions

1.

Test Planning and Script Preparation: Prepare test scenarios, test cases, scripts, and test data for functional, integration, regression, data,



and reporting requirements.

2.

Python PyTest Automation: Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using Python and PyTest, including reusable utilities, fixtures, assertions, and reporting.

3.

SQL and Data Validation: Perform SQL-based checks across databases, ETL/data pipelines, Snowflake/data warehouse layers, and reporting outputs.

4.

ADO/Jira or any another test management tool for Testing and Defect Management: Manage test cases, defects, tasks, and traceability including evidence, reproducible steps, and status updates.

5.

Defect Triage and RCA: Support defect triage and root cause analysis with development, product, business, and data teams to drive timely closure.

6.

Quality Metrics and Reporting: Prepare QA status, test execution, defect, and automation metrics. Power BI /Tableau testing/report validation is an added advantage.

About you

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY:

- Strong Python programming knowledge with hands-on experience in PyTest framework.
- Ability to design, execute, and maintain automation scripts for regression, API,



and data validation testing.
- Strong SQL skills for validation, reconciliation, joins, aggregations, and backend database testing.
- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) for test cases, defects, sprint tracking, and traceability.
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum, and defect lifecycle management.
- Experience in data/ETL testing(Snowflake,Synapse/SSMS), database validation, API testing, or report validation is preferred.
- Report validation, and dashboard QA experience are added advantages.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
