We are looking for an experienced Senior Process Design Engineer with strong expertise in STP, ETP, and WTP process design to lead and support water and wastewater treatment projects across Greenfield, Brownfield, and Greyfield environments.

The ideal candidate should have 8+ years of hands-on experience in process design , with at least 50% of their project experience in Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) projects . The candidate must have demonstrated experience designing large-scale treatment plants, including at least one plant with a capacity of 20+ MLD .

This role requires strong technical expertise in process engineering, hydraulic calculations, treatment-process selection, process documentation, plant optimization, troubleshooting, and commissioning .

1. Process Design & Engineering

- Lead process design activities for STP, ETP, and WTP projects .
- Develop treatment processes based on influent characteristics, design criteria, treated-water quality requirements, and project objectives.
- Perform detailed process and hydraulic calculations for treatment units and associated systems.
- Evaluate and select appropriate treatment technologies based on project requirements.
- Develop process design basis, design criteria, process calculations, and technical documentation.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable project specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements.

1. STP / ETP / WTP Projects

- Work on Greenfield, Brownfield, and Greyfield water and wastewater treatment projects.
- Lead or contribute to the design of large-scale treatment facilities.
- Must have independently designed or played a significant design role in at least one 20+ MLD treatment plant .
- Bring strong practical understanding of plant configuration, process flow, equipment selection, and hydraulic profile.

1. Treatment Technologies





Strong hands-on knowledge of biological treatment processes, particularly:
- MBR – Membrane Bioreactor
- MBBR – Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor
- SBR – Sequencing Batch Reactor

Experience in evaluating and optimizing treatment processes based on capacity, performance, footprint, operating requirements, and treated-water quality will be highly valued.
1. Engineering Documentation

Prepare and review key process engineering deliverables, including:
- Process Flow Diagrams ( PFDs )
- Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams ( P&IDs; )
- Process design reports
- Design basis documents
- Process calculations
- Hydraulic profiles
- Equipment/process specifications
- Technical reports and engineering documentation

1. Plant Optimization & Troubleshooting

- Analyze existing treatment plant performance and identify process bottlenecks.
- Recommend process improvements to enhance treatment efficiency and operational performance.
- Troubleshoot process and hydraulic issues during project execution and plant operations.
- Support optimization of existing STP, ETP, and WTP systems.
- Evaluate plant performance against design parameters and treated-water quality requirements.

1. Commissioning & Project Support

- Provide technical support during plant commissioning and start-up .
- Support process validation, performance testing, and troubleshooting during commissioning.
- Work closely with project, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and site teams.




- Provide technical guidance during installation, testing, commissioning, and stabilization.
- 8+ years of relevant hands-on experience in STP, ETP, and WTP process design.
- Minimum 50% of project experience should be in STP projects .
- Demonstrated experience across Greenfield, Brownfield, and Greyfield projects .
- Experience designing at least one 20+ MLD treatment plant .
- Strong expertise in process calculations and hydraulic calculations .
- Hands-on experience with MBR, MBBR, and SBR technologies.
- Strong knowledge of PFDs, P&IDs;, process design reports, and engineering documentation .
- Experience in plant optimization, process troubleshooting, commissioning, and start-up support .
- Strong understanding of water and wastewater treatment processes and plant design.

Knowledge or experience with the following will be an advantage:
- BioWin
- Bentley
- WAVE
- IMS

Bachelor's degree in one of the following disciplines is preferred:
- Chemical Engineering
- Environmental Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Process Engineering

Equivalent relevant engineering qualifications with strong water/wastewater process design experience may also be considered. The ideal candidate is a senior water and wastewater process engineering skilled who has moved beyond theoretical design and has substantial hands-on experience delivering real treatment projects.

You should be able to independently work across the complete process-design lifecycle — from process selection and design calculations through PFD/P&ID; development, hydraulic design, plant optimization, troubleshooting, and commissioning .

Experience with large-scale STP projects, particularly 20+ MLD facilities , will be a key differentiator.
