About the role :

We're building a consumer health app that turns messy clinical data into something people actually understand and act on - annual health check results, wearable data from Apple Health and Google Health Connect, and activity from ongoing care programmes.

The health profile alone spans health scores, condition trackers, trend charts, goals and risk flags. Dense data, users with low baseline motivation, and real health outcomes riding on whether the interface lands.

We're looking for a senior designer who can hold that entire surface - the flows, the interface, and how it moves - and raise the craft bar across the product.

What you'll own :

- End-to-end design for our core consumer surfaces : health profile, trackers, care programmes, onboarding and commerce flows
- Turning clinical and behavioural data into interfaces a non-medical user trusts and acts on
- Motion as a functional layer - state transitions, data reveals, progress feedback, empty-to-populated states - specified in a form engineering can ship
- Extending and maintaining our design system so quality holds as the team grows
- Working directly with product, engineering and clinical teams, from problem framing through QA of the shipped build

What we're looking for :

- 5 - 8 years designing consumer digital products, including at least one app you shipped end-to-end that we can open on a phone
- Strong UI craft - typography, hierarchy, density, restraint.



You should be able to talk about a single screen for five minutes
- Real UX depth. You frame problems rather than decorate them, and you can explain the calls you made with incomplete information
- Demonstrable motion capability in a product context, not just showreels. Micro-interactions, transitions, data animation.

Comfortable with at least one of : Rive, Lottie/After Effects, high-fidelity Figma prototyping, or motion in code

- Fluency with AI tools in your own workflow - and judgment about where they don't belong
- Experience designing AI-driven features (recommendations, insights, nudges), including the unglamorous parts : uncertainty, wrong answers, user override
- Comfort with data-heavy interfaces and information design

Nice to have :

- Health, fitness, fintech or another regulated, data-sensitive consumer category
- Ability to read and tweak front-end code (React Native / React)
- Experience being the senior-most designer in the room and holding a bar without formal authority

How we'll evaluate you :

- Depth over volume. Three solid case studies beat fifteen tiles. We want to see what you rejected and why - not just the finals.
- Our process is four steps over two to three weeks : a portfolio review, a craft deep dive with a live exercise, a paid design exercise or extended working session, and conversations with the product, engineering and founding team.
