Role Overview Apta Automation Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer with strong expertise in machine design, Special Purpose Machines (SPMs), industrial automation and robotic integration.

The candidate will be responsible for independently handling mechanical design activities from concept development and 3D modelling through detailed engineering and manufacturing release.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop mechanical concepts and designs for SPMs, automation equipment, fixtures and robotic integration systems.
- Prepare 3D models, General Assembly (GA), manufacturing, assembly and detailed drawings.
- Review customer specifications and translate requirements into practical and manufacturable mechanical designs.
- Perform engineering calculations and select appropriate mechanical components, materials and machine elements.
- Apply GD&T;, fits and tolerances while preparing manufacturing drawings.
- Prepare and maintain accurate BOMs and technical documentation
- Coordinate with Electrical, Automation, Manufacturing and Assembly teams for project execution.
- Review and optimize designs for functionality,



manufacturability, reliability and cost.
- Provide technical support during manufacturing, assembly, testing and commissioning.
- Troubleshoot design and assembly issues and support junior design engineers where required.

Required Skills

- Solid experience in Machine Design & SPM Design
- Industrial Automation & Robotic Integration
- Solidworks/AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor / equivalent 3D design software
- 3D modelling and assembly design
- GA & manufacturing drawings
- GD&T;, fits and tolerances
- Mechanical component selection
- Knowledge of machining, fabrication and manufacturing processes
- BOM preparation and engineering documentation

Qualification & Experience

- B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- 810 years of relevant Mechanical Design experience
- Prior experience in Industrial Automation, SPM, Machine Building or Robotics is strongly preferred.
- Candidate should be capable of independently taking a mechanical design from concept through manufacturing and assembly.
