The Senior Executive – State Placement will be responsible for driving student placements across the state by engaging with corporates, industry associations, and stakeholders. The role involves managing employer relationships, coordinating recruitment activities, ensuring successful placement outcomes, and contributing to the overall employability initiatives of the institution/organization.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Supervise and implement all placement-related activities at the centre in alignment with organizational policies and defined placement targets.

Develop and maintain solid relationships with local employers to identify suitable employment opportunities for trained candidates. Implement retention strategies adaptable to various situations, and actively engage with industry stakeholders to expand and strengthen placement networks.

Ensure candidates are adequately prepared for job opportunities by conducting mock interviews, resume-building sessions, and providing career guidance.

Plan and coordinate campus interviews, job fairs, and employer interaction sessions at the centre level in collaboration with relevant internal and external stakeholders.

Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date placement records for all students. Ensure timely reporting of placement data to the state team in accordance with the prescribed reporting timelines.

Collaborate effectively with centre-level teams, including trainers and mobilizers, to support a smooth and efficient placement process. Minimal travel may be required for coordination purposes.

Conduct individual and group career counselling sessions to help students identify appropriate career paths and enhance their employability.





Regularly update the Management Information System (MIS) with accurate placement records on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.

Facilitate the smooth onboarding process of students with respective employers.

Coordinate with the training teams to assess candidate readiness through mock interviews, ensuring alignment with job roles and sector-specific requirements.

Maintain regular coordination with centre teams and centre in-charges to ensure effective implementation of placement-related activities.

Qualifications, Experience & Key Skills:

- Graduate / Postgraduate in Business Management, HR, Marketing, or related fields.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in placement, corporate relations, recruitment, or business development, with a proven track record of managing placement drives and achieving targets.
- Strong network with corporates and recruiters within the state.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- In-depth understanding of current hiring trends and industry requirements.
- Highly proactive, target-oriented, and able to work effectively under pressure.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and reporting abilities.

Core Competencies

- Fluency in English (both oral and written)
- Must be familiar with local language
- Candidate should be open to travel extensively
