Experience : 5+ Years Quality Control Engineer in pressure vessels & piping manufacturing
Qualification : Diploma / B.E/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
The Senior Engineer-QC shall plan the departmental deliverables. He shall also monitor and coordinate with QC engineers & welding incharge for welding related testing, qualification and continuity. This will include supervising on daily basis for stagewise inspection , documentation and borescopy & testing (PREFAT/FAT) stage. The role should have valuable technical maturity and communication skills..
Competencies required for the position are
· Knowledge and expertise in handling Quality requirements related to pressure vessel & piping manufacturing process.
· Knowledge of ASME BPV code, ASME BPE guidelines.
· ASNT Level-II certification in Radiography and LPT minimum.
· Knowledge of stainless steel with different grades like, 316/316L/304/304L/1.4435/1.4404 & etc
· Smartness & strong communication skills
· Presentation Skills
· Intelligence to understand client expectations during FAT & site excecutions.
· Follow up to deliver actionables on time and with quality
· Knowledge 7QC tools and usage
Responsibilities
1. Planning the project deliverables based on Project schedules and technical documents and drawings.
2.
Interepretation of drawings to decide inspection points. Preparation and issue of “Inspection & Test Plan”, Quality Plans for Pressure vessel & Piping.
3. Planning and resource allocation for Stagewise inspection, Documentaton & Borescopy inspection.
4. Reviewing Material test reports, welding certificates, Piping isometric drawings and test reports as per ASME BPE guidelines.
5. Reviewing incoming material inspection results, reports and approval.
6. Planning, Procuring, Controlling inspection, monitoring, testing and measuring devices, instruments for their suitability and usage.
7. Preparation of Standard Operating Procedure for Equipments and Processes.
8. Maintaining documents and records asper ISO 9001 Quality Management System and Quality Manual requirements.
9. Root cause analysis for any non conformances, customer complaints and implementation of corrective actions.
10. Customer interaction and quaery clarification during pre-FAT. FAT & Site activities.
11. Coordination with ASME auditors & third party Inspection Agency during inspection and audits.
12. Thinking proactively & introducing process development tools, techniques to reduce the rejections & reworks.
