We develop AIaaS products — ranging from custom AI recommenders to virtual try-on solutions — designed to improve conversions and engagement while reducing reverse logistics for our clients. /n /n Job Overview: /n We are looking for a Senior Engineer with ~5 years of experience (3+ years of production-level experience building agents and backend systems) to join our founding engineering team as a technical lead. This is a high-ownership, high-agency role for someone who wants to build core product infrastructure from the ground up, with deep involvement in both backend engineering and the agentic layer — orchestration, guardrailing, and harness design for multi-agent systems.

The role occasionally extends into our own custom intelligence layer, fine-tuning small independent models and exposing them as MCP tools for agent-driven decision-making. /n /n Key Responsibilities: /n • Lead backend engineering for core product systems, with a solid emphasis on scalability and reliability in a fast-paced startup environment. /n • Design and build the agentic/orchestration layer — multi-agent coordination, guardrails, harnesses, and failure recovery. /n • Architect systems that expose custom-built or fine-tuned models (vision, language, or otherwise) as tools agents can call, reason over, and act on. /n • Own system design end-to-end, from backend service architecture to how agents are orchestrated, sandboxed,



and monitored in production. /n • Work across our Postgres and Postgres-variant database backends, with an eye toward distributed-systems optimizations as the product scales. /n • Deploy and manage cloud infrastructure using AWS, GCP, or Azure. /n • Work as a founding member of the engineering team — setting technical standards, making build-vs-buy calls, and mentoring as the team scales. /n • Collaborate closely with product and founding team members, moving fast and taking direct ownership of product direction. /n /n Key Requirements: /n • ~5 years of overall experience, with 3+ years of hands-on, production-level experience building agents and/or backend systems. /n • Proven experience working in lean teams within fast-paced startup environments. /n • High agency and high ownership — a self-directed operator comfortable leading as part of a founding engineering team. /n • Strong backend engineering fundamentals with genuine system design fluency. /n • Equal fluency in agentic system design — understanding of orchestration patterns, guardrailing, and the failure modes of multi-agent systems. /n • Working knowledge of Postgres or Postgres-variant/Postgres-like database backends. /n • Comfortable working from our office full-time (no remote or hybrid). /n /n Preferred Qualifications: /n • Hands-on MLOps or applied AI/ML/DL experience (e.g., model serving, fine-tuning, inference optimization) — valuable,
