Key Responsibilities

- Plan, supervise, and monitor civil construction, renovation, repair, and maintenance works.

- Prepare and review estimates, BOQs, specifications, drawings, and work schedules.

- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, architects, vendors, and other departments.

- Monitor contractor performance, workmanship, material quality, progress, and billing.

- Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications.

- Supervise works involving buildings, roads, drainage, water supply, sewage systems, paving, roofing, flooring, plastering, painting, and other civil infrastructure.

- Maintain and inspect medical college and hospital buildings, including academic blocks, wards, laboratories, classrooms, hostels, administrative buildings, and staff quarters.

- Identify structural defects, seepage, cracks, water leakage, deterioration, and other civil maintenance requirements and recommend corrective measures.

- Ensure proper coordination of civil works with electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire-safety, medical-gas, and other MEP services.

- Verify measurements, contractor bills, work completion certificates, and material consumption.

- Maintain records of maintenance activities, work orders, estimates, inspections, and project documentation.

- Ensure compliance with safety requirements and applicable building codes, government regulations,



and institutional standards.

- Assist in preparation of annual maintenance plans and civil works budgets.

- Coordinate emergency civil maintenance and respond to urgent infrastructure-related issues.

- Support statutory inspections, audits, accreditation requirements, and infrastructure-related documentation.

- Ensure minimal disruption to hospital, academic, laboratory, and clinical activities while carrying out maintenance or construction work.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.

- Relevant experience in building construction, hospital/medical college infrastructure, institutional projects, or facility maintenance is preferred.

- Knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Office, quantity estimation, BOQ preparation, and project documentation.

- Positive understanding of construction materials, quality control, safety practices, and building maintenance.
