We are looking for a seasoned AS400 / IBM i Developer with strong hands-on experience in application development, support, and data extraction.

The candidate must have deep experience extracting, transforming, and handling data from IBM i / AS400 systems for downstream applications, reporting, integrations, or migrations.

Required Skills

Strong hands-on experience with AS400 / IBM i

RPG / RPGLE / ILE RPG

CL / CLLE

DB2 for i / SQL

Data Extraction – MUST HAVE

Strong experience extracting large and complex datasets from DB2 / AS400

Experience with SQL queries, joins, stored procedures, views, flat files, CSV, and data feeds

Ability to analyze legacy AS400 data structures and identify correct source tables/files

Experience with DDS, Physical Files,



Logical Files

Robust debugging, troubleshooting, and production support

Experience with batch jobs and job scheduling

Ability to work independently with legacy applications and business users

Preferred

Free-format RPG

Embedded SQL

APIs / Web Services

Data migration or system modernization

Integration of AS400 data with external/cloud applications
