About the Role

UFlex is looking for an experienced and highly responsible Security Head to lead and manage the overall security function at its manufacturing unit. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of employees, visitors, assets, infrastructure, materials and operations while maintaining strong security systems, processes and emergency preparedness.

The role requires a hands-on security professional with strong experience in manufacturing/industrial security, access control, workforce management, risk assessment, incident management and liaison with government/law-enforcement authorities.

Key Responsibilities1. Security Operations

- Lead the complete security function of the manufacturing unit, including plant premises, warehouses, offices, parking areas and other critical locations.
- Develop and implement comprehensive security policies, SOPs and protocols.
- Ensure effective access control for employees, contract workers, visitors, vehicles and materials.
- Monitor entry and exit of personnel, vehicles, raw materials, finished goods and other assets.
- Ensure deployment and effective utilization of security guards, supervisors and other security personnel.
- Conduct regular security inspections, surprise checks and vulnerability assessments.

1. Manpower Management

- Manage and supervise the security team, including outsourced security personnel.
- Prepare duty rosters, shift schedules and deployment plans.
- Ensure adequate manpower availability across all shifts.
- Conduct regular briefings, training, drills and awareness programs for security personnel.
- Monitor discipline, performance and adherence to security SOPs.

1. Industrial & Asset Security

- Protect company assets, machinery, inventory, raw materials, finished goods and confidential areas.
- Identify potential security threats such as theft, pilferage, unauthorized access, sabotage and trespassing.
- Strengthen security controls around high-value and sensitive areas.
- Work closely with Operations, HR, EHS, Stores, Logistics and Administration teams to identify and mitigate security risks.

CCTV & Security Technology

- Ensure effective functioning and monitoring of CCTV surveillance, access-control systems, boom barriers, visitor management systems, alarm systems and other security equipment.
- Periodically review CCTV coverage and identify blind spots.
- Coordinate with vendors for maintenance and timely resolution of technical issues.
- Explore and implement technology-based improvements in plant security.

1. Emergency & Crisis Management

- Develop and maintain emergency response plans for incidents such as theft, fire, violence, sabotage, unauthorized entry, industrial disputes and other security emergencies.
- Coordinate with the EHS and plant management teams during emergency situations.
- Conduct mock drills and emergency preparedness exercises.
- Lead initial response and ensure proper escalation and incident reporting.

1. Government & External Liaison

- Maintain effective relationships with local police, fire department, district administration and other relevant government authorities.
- Coordinate with law-enforcement agencies whenever required.
- Support the organization during investigations, emergencies and other external security matters.
- Keep management updated on local security, law-and-order and potential threat situations.

1. Investigation & Incident Management

- Lead investigations into security incidents, theft, pilferage, misconduct, unauthorized access and other violations.
- Prepare detailed incident reports with root-cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.
- Maintain security-related records, registers and documentation.
- Ensure timely closure of security incidents and implementation of preventive measures.

1. Compliance & Audit

- Ensure compliance with applicable security-related statutory and organizational requirements.
- Conduct periodic security audits and risk assessments.
- Support internal, customer and third-party audits related to security and business continuity.




- Maintain proper documentation and records for security operations.

Candidate Profile

Education:

- Graduate in any discipline.
- Additional qualification/certification in Security Management, Industrial Security, Risk Management or related areas will be an advantage.
- Candidates with relevant ex-defence / paramilitary / police background may be preferred.

Experience:

- 10–12 years of relevant experience in industrial/manufacturing security.
- Experience managing security operations in a large manufacturing plant, industrial unit or multi-shift facility is preferred.
- Experience in managing outsourced security agencies and large security teams.
- Strong exposure to CCTV, access control, visitor management and other electronic security systems.

Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate will be a mature, disciplined and proactive security professional capable of independently managing security operations in a large manufacturing workplace. The person should have strong leadership qualities, sound knowledge of industrial security practices and the ability to coordinate effectively with plant leadership, employees, contractors, security agencies and government authorities. Experience in flexible packaging, plastics, manufacturing or other large-scale industrial environments will be an added advantage.

Pay: ₹1,500,000.00 - ₹2,000,000.00 per year
