Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency)

Must-Have

15+ years of overall SAP experience

Solid techno ‐ functional understanding of core SAP modules (e.g., FI, MM, SD, HR, PP – depending on landscape).

Proven experience leading application support and enhancement engagements.

Strong experience in incident, problem, change, and release management.

Working knowledge of SAP ECC and/or S/4 HANA architectures.

Valuable-to-Have

Exposure to SAP S/4 HANA migrations or upgrades.

Knowledge of SAP Solution Manager, Cha RM, and monitoring tools.

ITIL / PMP / Prince2 / Agile certifications.

Experience in global delivery and multi‐vendor environments.

Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role

Technical & Solution Leadership

Lead SAP design, development, enhancement, and support activities across SAP modules (ECC / S/4 HANA as applicable).

Understanding of technical areas including ABAP, OO ABAP,



Interfaces (IDocs, RFCs, APIs), Forms (Smart Forms/Adobe), Enhancements, Workflows , and integrations.

Ensure compliance with SAP best practices, development standards, performance optimization, and security guidelines.

Drive technical root cause analysis and resolution for complex production incidents.

Application Support Management

Own L2/L3 support delivery , ensuring adherence to SLAs, KPIs, and service quality metrics.

Lead incident, problem, and change management activities; ensure permanent fixes and prevention of recurring issues.

Coordinate with functional teams, Basis, Security, and external vendors for issue resolution and system stability.

Support audits, transport management, and system health checks.

Development & Enhancements

Lead estimation, planning, and execution of SAP enhancements, custom developments, and minor projects.

Translate business and functional requirements into robust technical solutions.
