About the Role

HCLTech is looking for a skilled SAP Basis Cloud Migration Consultant with expertise in SAP system migrations, cloud transformations, RISE with SAP, SAP HANA administration, and hyperscaler environments . The ideal candidate will play a key role in delivering SAP modernization programs by supporting end-to-end migration initiatives across SAP landscapes and cloud platforms.

This role provides an opportunity to work on large-scale SAP cloud transformation projects for global enterprises, leveraging technologies such as RISE with SAP, SAP HANA, SAP BTP, AWS, Azure, GCP, IBM Cloud, and SAP Data Center environments .

Key Responsibilities

- Participate in end-to-end SAP system migration and cloud transformation projects.
- Support SAP landscape migration initiatives, including:
- RISE with SAP
- GROW with SAP
- SAP Cloud migrations
- Hyperscaler migrations (AWS, Azure, GCP, IBM Cloud)
- Assist in migration planning activities, including:
- Landscape assessment
- Infrastructure sizing
- TCO analysis
- Migration strategy
- Cutover planning
- Go-live support
- Execute homogeneous and heterogeneous system copy activities.
- Perform OS/DB migrations and Unicode conversions.
- Support SAP HANA administration activities, including:
- Backup and recovery
- High Availability (HA)
- Disaster Recovery (DR)
- Performance monitoring and tuning
- Work with SUM/DMO tools to support system upgrades and near-zero downtime migrations.
- Assist with RISE with SAP and GROW with SAP onboarding activities.
- Support SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) workplace setup and integration activities.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and business teams to ensure smooth migration execution.
- Participate in system validation, testing, cutover execution, and post-go-live support.




- Support operational excellence using SAP Cloud ALM and Solution Manager (SolMan).
- Contribute to technical documentation, migration runbooks, and operational procedures.

Required Skills & Experience SAP Basis & Migration Expertise
- 3-8 years of experience in SAP Basis administration and cloud migration projects.
- Experience supporting end-to-end SAP migrations to cloud environments.
- Knowledge of:
- RISE with SAP
- GROW with SAP
- SAP Data Centers
- AWS
- Microsoft Azure
- Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- IBM Cloud
- Experience with:
- Homogeneous System Copy
- Heterogeneous System Copy
- OS/DB Migration
- Unicode Conversion
- Understanding of migration assessment, planning, and execution methodologies.

SAP HANA Administration
- Hands-on experience with SAP HANA database administration.
- Experience in:
- Backup & Recovery
- Performance Optimization
- System Monitoring
- HA/DR Configuration and Support
- Knowledge of SAP HANA operations on cloud platforms.

Upgrade & Migration Tools
- Experience working with:
- Software Update Manager (SUM)
- Database Migration Option (DMO)
- Near-Zero Downtime migration methodologies
- Exposure to upgrade and conversion projects involving SAP S/4HANA.

Cloud & Infrastructure Knowledge
- Understanding of cloud infrastructure fundamentals, including:
- Compute sizing
- Storage management
- Networking concepts
- Security fundamentals
- SAP workload optimization
- Experience supporting SAP deployments on hyperscaler platforms.

SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP)
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of SAP BTP services.
- Understanding of BTP integration scenarios with SAP and non-SAP applications.
- Exposure to cloud-native SAP architecture and extension strategies.
