Job Title: Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) Configuration Specialist

Allocation: 100% (40hrs per week)

Project: Multi-market SFMC migration

Job Summary

We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) Configuration Specialist to support the end-to-end migration and setup of multi-market marketing operations for a large-scale global organization. In this role, you will handle the day-to-day configuration, asset migration, and validation across different business units. While you don’t need to design entire enterprise architectures from scratch, you must be fully comfortable working directly with decentralized local market teams, tracking tasks to completion, and ensuring high-quality execution.

Key Responsibilities

- Migrate and set up marketing assets, data extensions, queries, and automated journeys from existing setups into standard multi-market business units (BUs).
- Build and validate subscriber journeys in Journey Builder, set up multi-step data automations in Automation Studio, and prepare email assets in Email Studio.
- Interface directly with local market teams to capture migration checklists, clarify data requirements, review assets, and drive sign-offs.




- Write and execute standard SQL queries for segmentation, verify data extension mappings in Contact Builder, and run thorough end-to-end QA/UAT before go-live.
- Own your assigned workstreams from start to finish—proactively highlighting risks, resolving roadblocks, and maintaining clean tracking documentation.

Required Experience

- 4+ years of hands-on configuration experience across SFMC Journey Builder, Email Studio, Automation Studio, and Contact Builder.
- Confident writing SQL queries to manipulate and segment data.
- Familiarity with basic AMPscript logic for dynamic emails.
- Self-starter mindset with the ability to take a requirement, follow up with stakeholders, and see it through to validation autonomously.
- Transparent, professional verbal and written English communication skills for interfacing with international business stakeholders.
- Process-driven with a detail-oriented approach to QA, data validation, and deployment checklists.
