– HOSPITAL RUNNER

Position: Runner Boy

Department: Operations / Administration

Location: Medway Hospital

Reporting To: Operations Manager

Job Purpose To provide timely and efficient support to various departments by transporting documents, files, samples, medicines, reports, materials, and other items within the hospital premises, while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities

- Collect and deliver documents, files, reports, and other materials between hospital departments.
- Transport patient-related files, investigation reports, prescriptions, and other authorized documents safely.
- Coordinate with departments such as OPD, IPD, Laboratory, Pharmacy, Radiology, Billing, Medical Records, Nursing, and Administration.
- Assist in shifting and delivering hospital supplies, stationery, and other materials as instructed.
- Collect laboratory samples from designated departments and deliver them to the concerned laboratory area as per hospital protocols.
- Support the Pharmacy and other departments in delivering authorized medicines and materials.
- Assist staff in urgent document/material movement within the hospital.
- Ensure all items entrusted for delivery reach the correct department/person without delay or damage.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information, medical records, and hospital documents.
- Maintain a proper handover/acknowledgement wherever required.
- Keep the assigned trolley, delivery bags,



or other equipment clean and in good condition.
- Assist the Operations team during emergencies, meetings, events, and other hospital activities.
- Follow all hospital safety, infection-control, fire-safety, and security procedures.
- Maintain discipline, punctuality, and qualified behavior while interacting with patients, attendants, doctors, nurses, and hospital staff.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Supervisor or Management.

Required Qualification
- Minimum: 10th Pass
- 12th Pass will be preferred.
- Basic ability to read and write Tamil/English.
- Previous experience in a hospital or healthcare environment will be an advantage.

- Ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Good time management and punctuality.
- Physically fit and able to move around the hospital for extended periods.
- Responsible and trustworthy in handling documents and materials.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Patient-friendly and polite attitude.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Experience
- 0–2 years of experience can be considered.
- Freshers with a good attitude and willingness to learn may also be considered.

Employment Type: Full-time Shift: Rotational Shift ( 12 Hours )

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
