Role & Responsibilities

- Design and develop final distribution products such as MCBs, RCCBs and RCBOs.

- Design and develop plastic, sheet metal, machined and die-cast components.

- Prepare component drawings, BOMs, assembly instructions, testing procedures and other design documents.

- Ensure product designs comply with relevant IS and IEC standards.

- Conduct and coordinate product approval testing, validation and certification.

- Analyze product applications and customer requirements to upgrade, customize and improve products.

- Identify opportunities for product cost reduction, value engineering and design optimization.

- Implement design improvements based on internal and external customer feedback.

- Perform GD&T;, tolerance stack-up analysis, DOE and statistical analysis as required.

- Coordinate with manufacturing, quality, testing and cross-functional teams for successful product development and launch.

Preferred Candidate Profile





- BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering with relevant experience in product design and development.

- Experience in LV electrical switchgear / final distribution products, preferably MCB, RCCB or RCBO.

- Strong knowledge of IS/IEC standards and product testing/certification requirements.

- Hands-on experience in Creo or SolidWorks and familiarity with SAP.

- Good understanding of plastic moulding, sheet metal, machining and die-casting processes.

- Knowledge of GD&T;, tolerance stack-up, Six Sigma, DOE, statistical tools and Value Engineering.

- Basic understanding of switchgear and power systems.

- Robust problem-solving, analytical and cross-functional collaboration skills.

- Ability to understand customer requirements and translate them into product/design improvements.
