Role Description The R Programming Mentor will provide structured, concept-focused instruction in R to school and college-level learners, guiding them through fundamentals such as data types, data manipulation, and control structures, as well as advanced topics like data visualization, statistical modeling, and basic machine learning workflows. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and delivering lessons, conducting hands-on coding sessions, reviewing student code, giving constructive feedback, and adapting teaching methods to suit individual learning styles.

The mentor will also design practice exercises, projects, and assessments, track learner progress, and communicate regularly with learners and guardians regarding performance and improvement areas. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Gurugram,



requiring consistent classroom or tutoring-center presence and collaboration with the wider academic team.

Qualifications

- Robust proficiency in R programming, including data manipulation (e.g., dplyr), visualization (e.g., ggplot2), and working with common data structures.
- Solid understanding of statistics, data analysis, and their application within R for real-world problem-solving.
- Previous experience in teaching, mentoring, or tutoring, preferably in programming or STEM subjects, with an ability to explain complex topics in clear, simple language.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a learner-centric approach and patience in addressing questions and misconceptions.
- Ability to design lesson plans, exercises, and projects that are age-appropriate and aligned with academic or curriculum objectives.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field; relevant certifications in R or data analysis are an advantage.
- Comfort working on-site in Gurugram in a structured tutoring environment, collaborating with other tutors and academic coordinators.
- Familiarity with online learning tools and educational platforms, and a willingness to integrate technology into teaching.
- Demonstrated commitment to inclusive, non-discriminatory teaching practices and supporting learners from diverse backgrounds.
