1. Job Purpose

To ensure that injection moulded components are manufactured as per customer specifications, drawing requirements, quality standards and internal quality procedures, while preventing defects and maintaining consistent product quality.
1. Key Responsibilities

- Inspect incoming raw materials and verify material identification and quality requirements.
- Perform First Piece / First-Off Inspection after mould change, machine setting and process change.
- Conduct in-process inspection of injection moulded components.
- Check dimensions, appearance, colour, weight and other specified characteristics as per drawing/control plan.
- Use measuring instruments such as Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Pin Gauge, Torque Gauge, Weighing Scale and other applicable instruments.




- Monitor common injection moulding defects such as:
- Short moulding
- Flash
- Sink mark
- Warpage
- Burn mark
- Weld line
- Black spot
- Flow mark
- Colour variation
- Dent / scratch
- Dimensional variation
- Verify machine/process parameters such as temperature, pressure, injection speed, holding pressure and cycle time as applicable.
- Ensure inspection results are recorded correctly in inspection formats and check sheets.
- Identify and segregate OK / NG / Rework components.
- Maintain proper identification and traceability of rejected and accepted materials.
- Raise NCR / Rejection Report for non-conforming products.
- Coordinate with Production and Process teams for defect analysis and corrective action.
