QUALITY INSPECTOR – METAL CUTTING TOOLS

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for an experienced and technically competent Quality Inspector for the inspection of precision metal cutting tools.

The candidate will be responsible for inspecting cutting tools at various stages of manufacturing, after every operation, and ensuring that the finished tools conform to the required drawings, dimensions, tolerances and quality standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Inspection of various types of metal cutting tools, including:
- Drills
- Reamers
- Cutters
- Form Tools
- Special Cutting Tools
- Other precision tooling
- Carry out in-process inspection after every manufacturing operation.
- Perform final inspection of completed cutting tools.
- Check dimensions, geometry, profiles, angles, radii, lengths, diameters, runout and other critical parameters as per drawings.
- Ensure that jobs are inspected and approved before moving to the next manufacturing operation.
- Identify deviations, defects and quality issues and coordinate with the production team for corrective action.
- Maintain inspection records and quality documentation.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, dimensional tolerances and specifications.
- Ensure proper handling and use of precision measuring instruments.

REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS The candidate should have robust practical knowledge of precision measurement and cutting-tool inspection.



ZOLLER experience is a MUST.

The candidate should have knowledge/experience of:

- ZOLLER Tool Measuring & Inspection Machine – MUST
- Profile Projector
- Vernier Caliper
- Micrometer
- Bore Gauge
- Height Gauge
- Dial Gauge
- Plug & Ring Gauges
- Precision Gauging Instruments
- AutoCAD – preferred
- Other optical and computerized cutting-tool inspection systems

CANDIDATE PROFILE

- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Candidates having experience specifically in cutting-tool inspection / quality control will be given preference.
- Should have a strong understanding of cutting-tool geometry and inspection requirements.
- Should be able to independently inspect jobs and identify dimensional or geometric deviations.
- Should be technically sound, detail-oriented and quality-conscious.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and tolerances.
- Candidates who have hands-on experience with ZOLLER or similar cutting-tool measuring machines will be highly preferred.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR We are looking for a person who can take independent responsibility for quality inspection of cutting tools, rather than merely performing routine measurement.

The candidate should be capable of ensuring that each job meets the specified drawing and quality requirements at every stage of production.

SALARY & JOINING

Salary: No Bar for the Right Candidate.

The salary package will be decided at the time of interview, based on the candidate's experience, technical knowledge and suitability for the position.
