Quality Inspector – Heavy Fabrication Job Role: Quality Inspector Experience: 1–2 Years Qualification: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Industry: Heavy Fabrication / Engineering / Manufacturing Job Type: Full-time Work Location: Customer Manufacturing Plant Job DescriptionWe are looking for a Quality Inspector to perform quality and third-party inspection activities at a heavy fabrication plant. The candidate will be responsible for stage-wise inspection and ensuring products meet approved drawings, specifications, ITP and customer quality requirements. Key ResponsibilitiesPerform stage-wise quality inspection of fabricated components and assemblies.

Conduct material, fabrication, fit-up and dimensional inspection . Perform visual welding inspection and identify common welding defects. Verify weld size, profile, WPS requirements and weld traceability.

Check dimensions such as length, width, height, thickness, angle, alignment, flatness and squareness . Support/coordinate NDT activities – UT, MT, PT & RT . Assist in surface preparation, painting and DFT inspection where applicable.

Identify, mark and segregate non-conforming products .



Support NCR preparation and re-inspection after rework . Maintain inspection check sheets, dimensional reports and other quality records. Read and understand engineering drawings, tolerances and specifications .

Use measuring instruments such as Vernier, Micrometer, Measuring Tape, Welding Gauge, Height Gauge, DFT Gauge , etc. Follow customer Safety & 5S requirements.

Experience in heavy fabrication, structural fabrication, welding or engineering industry preferred. Valuable observation and documentation skills. Ability to identify defects and work with Production/Quality teams.

Fresh

Diploma/ITI candidates with good fabrication/welding knowledge may be considered for junior positions. Willingness to work at customer site and in shifts, if required.
