Job Summary

Kored Infratech Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced QC Engineer with 6 + years of relevant experience in highway and road construction projects. The candidate will be responsible for implementing quality control procedures, conducting inspections and testing, ensuring compliance with approved drawings and specifications, and maintaining quality documentation throughout project execution.

Key Responsibilities

- Implement and monitor QA/QC procedures, Quality Control Plans (QCP) and Inspection & Test Plans (ITP).
- Inspect highway construction activities including:

- Earthwork and embankment

- Subgrade preparation
- Granular Sub-Base (GSB)

- Wet Mix Macadam (WMM)

- Bituminous works

- Flexible pavement

- Rigid pavement/concrete works
- Drainage, culverts and structures
- Ensure construction activities are carried out as per approved drawings, method statements, project specifications and applicable standards.
- Conduct and monitor material and field testing such as:

- Soil testing

- Proctor test

- Field Density Test (FDT)

- Sieve analysis

- Aggregate testing

- Bitumen testing
- Concrete cube and slump tests
- Coordinate with site engineers, laboratory teams, contractors, consultants and client representatives for inspections and testing.
- Review incoming construction materials and ensure compliance with approved specifications.
- Prepare and maintain MIRs, inspection requests, test reports, checklists,



NCRs and quality records.
- Identify quality issues and initiate corrective and preventive actions.
- Monitor and close Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) within the required timeline.
- Participate in client/consultant inspections and quality audits.
- Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of testing equipment.
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly quality reports and MIS.
- Monitor compliance with MoRTH, IRC, IS codes and project specifications.
- Coordinate with the Project Manager and QA/QC Manager regarding quality-related issues and improvements.
- Ensure proper documentation and traceability of all quality inspections and tests.

Required Skills
- Solid knowledge of Highway and Road Construction Quality Control.
- Good knowledge of MoRTH Specifications, IRC Codes and relevant IS Standards.
- Experience in preparing and implementing QCP, ITP, Method Statements, MIR, NCR and Inspection Checklists.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials and laboratory/field testing.
- Ability to read and interpret civil drawings and technical specifications.
- Good documentation, reporting and coordination skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word and other MS Office applications.
