Role Description The Purchasing Manager is a full time, on-site role based in Bengaluru, responsible for managing end-to-end procurement activities for materials, components, and services required for motor design and manufacturing. The role involves developing and implementing purchasing strategies, identifying and qualifying suppliers, negotiating pricing and contracts, and ensuring timely delivery aligned with production schedules.

The Purchasing

Manager will monitor inventory levels, analyze material requirements, and coordinate closely with production, engineering, quality, and finance teams to maintain optimal stock and cost control. Daily tasks include reviewing purchase requisitions, issuing purchase orders, tracking supplier performance,



resolving delivery or quality issues, and maintaining accurate purchasing records and reports. The role also contributes to continuous improvement by driving cost optimization initiatives, supporting vendor development, and ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in procurement and purchasing management, including vendor sourcing, negotiation, contract management, and cost optimization.
- Experience in supply chain and inventory management, covering demand planning, material requirements, stock control, and logistics coordination.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams such as production, engineering, quality, and finance to align purchasing decisions with business objectives.
- Proficiency in using ERP systems, purchasing modules, and spreadsheet tools for data analysis, reporting, and documentation.
- Sound understanding of manufacturing processes, preferably in electric motors, industrial components, or related engineering domains.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with attention to detail and a focus on quality and delivery timelines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with vendor relationship management and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field; relevant professional certifications in purchasing or supply chain are an advantage.
- Prior experience in a purchasing or supply chain leadership role within a manufacturing or engineering organization, ideally in Bengaluru or similar industrial hubs.
