Purchasing Coordinator

Location: Ahmedabad

Salary: 10-12 LPA

Time: 7 pm to 5 am IST

Role Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented Purchasing Coordinator to manage purchasing, vendor coordination, inventory replenishment, and purchase orders across 12+ retail stores and 25+ vendors . The ideal candidate should have experience in multi-store retail purchasing, inventory, supply chain, or procurement.

Key Responsibilities

- Create, submit, and track purchase orders based on sales, inventory levels, and upcoming demand.
- Review suggested/automated replenishment orders and adjust quantities when required.
- Monitor stock levels across multiple stores and ensure products are reordered on time.
- Coordinate with 25+ vendors regarding orders, delivery schedules, backorders, substitutions, pricing, and discrepancies.
- Review vendor invoices and shipments against purchase orders and resolve differences.
- Analyze store-level sales and inventory reports to identify low stock, excess inventory, and unusual sales trends.




- Coordinate inventory transfers between stores when appropriate instead of placing recent supplier orders.
- Maintain accurate purchasing, cost, vendor, and inventory information in the retail back-office system.
- Use Excel and system reports to support purchasing and inventory decisions.

Required Qualifications
- 4–5+ years of experience in retail purchasing, inventory, procurement, or supply chain coordination.
- Experience working with multi-location retail , preferably grocery, convenience, or similar environments.
- Experience with a POS, ERP, inventory management, or retail back-office system .
- Strong Excel and numerical skills.
- Good vendor communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple vendors and orders simultaneously.
- Experience with automated replenishment / inventory ordering is highly preferred.
- ECRS Catapult experience is a plus, but not required.
