Role Description The Purchasing Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Kolkata, responsible for overseeing the end-to-end procurement process for the company. Day-to-day activities include identifying supplier needs, sourcing and evaluating vendors, negotiating contracts and pricing, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.

The role involves monitoring inventory levels, preparing purchase orders, maintaining accurate procurement records, and coordinating with internal departments to align purchasing activities with operational requirements.

The Purchasing

Manager will also analyze market trends, manage vendor relationships, implement cost-saving initiatives,



and ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in a corporate or service-oriented environment.
- Strong skills in vendor evaluation, negotiation, and contract management, with the ability to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms.
- Proficiency in inventory management, purchase order processing, and maintaining accurate procurement documentation.
- Ability to analyze data, assess market trends, and develop cost-optimization strategies.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with internal teams and external suppliers.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Working knowledge of procurement or ERP software and standard office productivity tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, or a related field; relevant certifications in procurement or supply chain are an advantage.
- Proven ability to work on-site in a fast-paced setting, make sound decisions, and uphold ethical purchasing practices.
