Key Responsibilities

- Source and identify reliable suppliers and vendors.
- Handle procurement of raw materials, packaging materials, consumables, and other factory requirements.
- Obtain quotations from multiple vendors and prepare comparative statements.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and other commercial conditions.
- Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs) after necessary approvals.
- Follow up with vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Coordinate with Production, Store, QA/QC, Accounts, and Management for purchase requirements.
- Maintain updated vendor database, quotation records, purchase orders, invoices, and related documents.
- Develop new vendors and maintain good relationships with existing suppliers.
- Monitor pending purchase orders and material delivery status.
- Coordinate with QA/QC regarding material specifications, COA and quality-related vendor documents where applicable.
- Resolve issues related to shortages, delays, incorrect materials, pricing, and quality.
- Conduct market research for competitive prices and alternative suppliers.




- Maintain proper purchase records and prepare daily/weekly/monthly purchase reports.
- Ensure procurement is carried out according to company policies and approval procedures.

Required Skills

- Strong vendor management and negotiation skills.
- Good knowledge of purchase and procurement processes.
- Valuable communication and follow-up skills.
- Knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office.
- ERP/Tally/SAP experience will be an added advantage.
- Good analytical and documentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple purchase requirements and deadlines.

Qualification

- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Procurement, or a related field.
- Diploma/Certification in Purchase or Supply Chain Management will be an advantage.

Experience 2–5 years of relevant experience in Purchase/Procurement, preferably in a manufacturing, food, nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, herbal, or FMCG industry.

Preferred Candidate

Candidates having experience in purchasing herbal/raw materials, food ingredients, packaging materials, bottles, capsules, labels, cartons, and manufacturing consumables will be preferred.
