Role & responsibilities

- Identify and develop reliable suppliers for APIs, pharmaceutical excipients, chemicals and packaging materials.

- Obtain and compare quotations from multiple suppliers.

- Negotiate price, payment terms, delivery schedules and other commercial conditions.

- Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs).

- Follow up with suppliers for material readiness and timely dispatch.

- Coordinate with Quality, Stores, Accounts and Sales teams regarding procurement requirements.

- Maintain proper purchase records, supplier databases and quotation comparisons.

- Evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, documentation and delivery performance.

- Coordinate for required documents such as COA, MSDS, specifications, GMP certificates and other quality documents, wherever applicable.

- Monitor pending orders and ensure timely delivery.

- Handle purchase-related issues such as shortages, delays,



discrepancies and rejected materials.

- Develop long-term relationships with approved and reliable vendors.

- Assist management in identifying opportunities for cost reduction and better procurement terms.

Preferred candidate profile

- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry or a related field, Commerce, Business Administration, Supply Chain,

- Strong negotiation and communication skills.

- Valuable knowledge of MS Excel and basic computer applications.

- Ability to compare quotations and analyze commercial offers.

- Good follow-up and coordination skills.

- Should be organized, responsible and capable of handling multiple purchase requirements simultaneously.
