PURCHASE JD 1. Purchase & Procurement Receive and process purchase requirements from Stores.

Source and procure engineering materials, components, bought-out items, consumables and services. Procure items such as fabricated components, machined parts, sheet-metal components, fasteners, bearings, pneumatic components, electrical items, sensors, automation components, motors, gearboxes and other machine-building requirements.

Ensure procurement is completed within required timelines and budgets.

Obtain quotations from suitable vendors and prepare comparative statements.

Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules and other commercial terms.

Prepare and release Purchase Orders after obtaining necessary approvals.

Ensure procurement priorities are aligned with production requirements. 2.

Management Identify,



evaluate and develop recent vendors.

Maintain a reliable vendor base for engineering components and services.

Develop alternate sources for critical and frequently purchased items.

Maintain vendor records, quotations, price history and commercial terms.

Monitor vendor performance in terms of quality, cost and delivery.

Address vendor-related quality, shortage and delivery issues.

- Order & Delivery Follow-up Track all open Purchase Orders and committed delivery dates.

Follow up regularly with vendors to ensure timely delivery.

Escalate delays that may affect production schedules.
