Role & responsibilities

- Overall responsibilities for the functioning of the PT Division with respect to the PT Scheme conducted in the area of Marine/Aqua Culture Food Products, Nutraceuticals & Functional Foods, Pesticide Formulations, Plastic and Resins, Residues and contaminants in Food, Residues and contaminants in Water.

- To plan, design, coordinate, and execute the PT Schemes as per the PT Calendar scheduled.

- To prepare the minutes of the Advisory Group meetings and ensure that actions are taken as per their suggestions.

- To monitor the procurement of materials needed for preparing PT items.

- To verify the suitability and Quality of the material procured for preparation of the PT items.

- To prepare detailed instructions to the participants including standardized reporting format.

- To arrange for homogeneity testing and/ or stability testing of the PT items.

- To arrange for the timely dispatch of PT items to participants.

- To examine the test data received and ascertain compliance with homogeneity and stability criteria.





- To statistically analyze the participants results and determine Assigned Value and/or SDPA and evaluate the performance of participants.

- To verify the statistical analysis conducted for ensuring homogeneity, stability, assignment of values and calculating their uncertainty, determination of SDPA and performance evaluation of participants.

- To verify the contents of PT report prior to issue.

- To direct support staff regarding timelines for the completion of PT Schemes.

- To maintain a schedule for data receipt and reporting of PT Results.

- To prepare, verify and distribute participant reports at the completion of the PT Schemes.

Preferred candidate profile

- To identify and contact potential participants for proficiency testing schemes.

- Responsible for proper maintenance of records as per Quality System Procedure, and Quality Manual complying with ISO/IEC 17043:2023.

- To provide expert commentary on the performance of participants and suggestions for improvement in the PT report.
