About the Role

MACLEC is looking for a dynamic and execution-oriented Project Manager – Renewable Energy to manage Surface Hydrokinetic Turbine (SHKT) power projects across India.

The selected candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end project lifecycle — from project/site identification and acquisition through engineering, approvals, procurement, manufacturing coordination, EPC execution, commissioning, and long-term AMC/O&M; coordination throughout the plant life.

The role involves working across G2G, B2G and B2B projects and requires regular coordination with Government Departments, PSUs, utilities, DISCOMs, EPC agencies, consultants, vendors, industrial clients and project-site teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Identify and evaluate potential SHKT project sites including canals, rivers, tailrace channels, cooling-water channels and other flowing-water infrastructure.
- Coordinate site surveys, hydrological data collection, feasibility studies, PFR/DPR preparation and project planning.
- Manage the complete project lifecycle from Project Identification → Feasibility → Project Acquisition → PPA/Site Allotment → Approvals → Engineering → Procurement → Manufacturing → EPC → Grid Connectivity → Commissioning → AMC/O&M;.
- Coordinate with Central/State Government departments, PSUs, Irrigation/Water Resources Departments, power utilities, DISCOMs, regulatory agencies and private-sector clients.
- Support G2G, B2G and B2B project development and stakeholder management.
- Prepare and monitor project schedules, budgets, milestones, deliverables, cash flows and execution plans.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary activities involving civil, mechanical, electrical, automation, SCADA, grid evacuation and commissioning teams.
- Manage contractors, vendors,



consultants and site execution teams.
- Monitor project cost, quality, safety, documentation and contractual compliance.
- Identify project risks, delays and bottlenecks and drive timely corrective actions.
- Coordinate testing, synchronization, grid connectivity, performance trials and final commissioning.
- Manage post-commissioning obligations including warranty, AMC, preventive maintenance and plant-performance monitoring.
- Prepare MIS, progress reports, presentations and management updates for senior leadership and project stakeholders.
- Travel frequently to project sites and Government/PSU/client offices across India.

Project Locations The candidate should be willing to travel and manage projects primarily across: Rajasthan | Haryana | Punjab | Himachal Pradesh | Uttar Pradesh | Maharashtra | Tripura | Odisha | Chhattisgarh

Additional project locations may be assigned as MACLEC expands its project portfolio.

Candidate Profile

Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Energy, Power or related engineering discipline. MBA/PGDM in Project Management, Energy or Operations will be an advantage.

Experience: 3–6 years of relevant experience in one or more of the following sectors:

Renewable Energy | Hydropower | Small Hydro | Solar | Wind | Energy Storage | Power Projects | EPC | Electrical Infrastructure | Industrial Projects

Candidates should preferably have

- Hands-on experience in end-to-end project management or EPC execution.
- Experience dealing with Government Departments, PSUs, utilities or large industrial clients.
- Understanding of project planning, DPRs, BOQs, contracts, procurement and site execution.
- Working knowledge of grid connectivity, electrical evacuation and commissioning processes.
- Strong stakeholder coordination and vendor-management skills.




- Ability to independently manage multiple projects and locations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Valuable command of MS Excel, PowerPoint and project-management tools.
- Willingness to undertake frequent travel and take ownership of project deliverables.

What We Are Looking For We are particularly interested in candidates who are execution-driven, commercially aware and comfortable taking ownership of a project from an opportunity on paper to an operating power plant on the ground.

This is not a desk-only project-management position. The role requires active involvement with Government authorities, clients, engineering teams, manufacturing teams, vendors and project sites throughout the project lifecycle.

Compensation

CTC: Up to ₹15,00,000 per annum

Final compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, technical capability, project-management exposure and suitability for the position.
