- Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced and technically strong Civil Project Manager to lead the execution of a multistory steel-structure residential building project in Vadodara.

The candidate will be responsible for complete project execution from mobilization through completion and handover, including civil works, structural steel erection, RCC/foundation works, architectural finishes, MEP coordination, safety, quality, planning, procurement and subcontractor management.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in multistorey construction, structural steel buildings and residential projects, with the ability to independently manage a large project team and coordinate with consultants, vendors, subcontractors and the client.

- Key ResponsibilitiesA. Project Planning & Execution

- Take overall responsibility for day-to-day project execution and site management.
- Develop and monitor detailed project execution plans, construction schedules and milestones.
- Ensure construction activities are completed within the approved time, cost and quality parameters.
- Plan manpower, machinery, materials and subcontractor deployment.
- Monitor progress against baseline schedules and implement corrective measures wherever required.
- Coordinate construction activities across civil, structural, architectural and MEP packages.

B. Structural Steel Works
- Supervise and coordinate structural steel fabrication, supply, erection and installation.
- Review structural drawings, connection details, shop drawings and erection methodology.
- Coordinate steel fabrication with site erection requirements and project schedules.
- Monitor erection sequence, alignment, levels, bolting, welding and structural stability.
- Coordinate inspection and testing of structural steel, welding and bolted connections.
- Ensure compliance with approved structural drawings, specifications and applicable codes.
- Coordinate with structural consultants regarding technical issues, modifications and site conditions.

C. Civil & Foundation Works
- Supervise excavation, PCC, RCC foundations, pile/raft/isolated foundations as applicable, plinth and other civil works.
- Coordinate RCC and steel interfaces to ensure proper sequencing.
- Monitor reinforcement, shuttering, concreting and curing activities.
- Ensure dimensional accuracy, levels and alignment as per approved drawings.
- Coordinate waterproofing, masonry, plastering, flooring and other finishing works.

D. Residential Building Construction
- Manage execution of all major building components including:
- Structural steel frame
- RCC foundations and associated works
- Staircases
- Masonry and partitions
- External façade
- Doors and windows
- Waterproofing
- Flooring and tiling
- Painting
- False ceilings
- External development
- Finishing works
- Ensure proper coordination between civil, structural and architectural requirements.

E. MEP & Services Coordination
- Coordinate with electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire-fighting,



ELV and other MEP agencies.
- Ensure proper integration of MEP services with the steel structure and architectural works.
- Review service openings, sleeves, shafts, embedded items and equipment locations before execution.
- Ensure MEP works do not interfere with structural integrity or architectural finishes.

F. Quality Control
- Implement and maintain project-specific Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC) procedures.
- Ensure construction is executed strictly as per approved drawings, specifications and method statements.
- Coordinate material inspections and testing.
- Review inspection requests, test reports and quality documentation.
- Identify non-conformities and ensure timely corrective actions.
- Maintain records of concrete, steel, welding, material and other relevant tests.

G. Safety Management
- Ensure strict compliance with project HSE and safety requirements.
- Conduct regular site inspections and safety meetings.
- Ensure safe working practices for steel erection, working at height, lifting operations, welding and material handling.
- Coordinate with the Safety Officer to eliminate unsafe conditions.
- Ensure use of appropriate PPE and safety equipment by all personnel.

H. Subcontractor & Vendor Management
- Manage and coordinate civil, structural steel, fabrication, erection and finishing subcontractors.
- Review subcontractor work programs and manpower deployment.
- Monitor subcontractor productivity and performance.
- Resolve site-level coordination issues and disputes.
- Ensure subcontractors meet project quality and schedule requirements.
- Coordinate with vendors for timely delivery of steel, construction materials and equipment.

I. Cost & Commercial Management
- Monitor project expenditure against the approved budget.
- Control material wastage, manpower productivity and equipment utilization.
- Review subcontractor measurements, bills and work completion.
- Coordinate with the commercial team for BOQ, RA Bills, variations, extra items and claims.
- Identify potential cost overruns and recommend corrective actions.
- Assist management in achieving targeted project margins.

J. Client & Consultant Coordination
- Act as the primary site-level coordination point with the client, PMC, architects and consultants.
- Attend project review meetings.
- Prepare and present project progress updates.
- Resolve technical and execution-related issues in coordination with consultants.
- Ensure timely approval of drawings, materials, samples and technical submissions.
- Maintain professional relationships with all project stakeholders.

K. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain daily, weekly and monthly project progress reports.
- Track project milestones and critical activities.
- Maintain records of drawings, RFIs, approvals, inspections and site instructions.
- Prepare look-ahead plans and progress monitoring reports.
- Maintain proper documentation for project handover and completion.

Knowledge of BIS/IS Codes, NBC and relevant structural steel and construction standards will be preferred.

- Educational Qualification

Essential:

- B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.

Preferred:

- M.Tech in Structural Engineering / Construction Management
- PMP / equivalent project management certification
- Relevant professional certifications in construction safety or project management

5. Experience
- 10–15 years of relevant experience in construction project management.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in handling large-scale building projects.
- Experience in multistorey steel structure / PEB / structural steel buildings will be strongly preferred.
- Experience in residential, commercial, institutional or mixed-use projects is desirable.
- Candidates with experience handling complete projects from foundation to finishing and handover will be preferred.

8. Location & Working Conditions

Location: Vadodara, Gujarat

This is a site-based position and requires the candidate to be available full-time at the project location. The role may require extended working hours depending on project requirements, critical activities and construction deadlines.

- Preferred Candidate Profile

We are particularly looking for a hands-on Project Manager who can independently take charge of the construction site and lead the project team.

Preference will be given to candidates who have previously handled multistorey steel structure residential/commercial projects, including coordination of foundation structural steel civil works MEP finishing handover.

Strong site execution experience and proven project delivery capability will be given higher importance than purely administrative/project-office experience.

Pay: ₹80,000.00 - ₹110,000.00 per month
