Experience: 5–10 Years in Skill Development / DDU-GKY / PMKVY / Government Skill Development Projects
- Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Project Head to lead and manage the overall implementation of the DDU-GKY 2.0 Project.
The Project Head will be responsible for end-to-end project management, including target achievement, mobilization, counselling, training, residential operations, assessment, certification, placement, post-placement tracking, compliance, MIS and coordination with government/project authorities.
The candidate should have strong leadership, team-management, documentation, compliance and stakeholder-management skills and should be capable of achieving project targets within defined timelines and quality standards.
- Key ResponsibilitiesA. Overall Project Management
- Take complete ownership of DDU-GKY 2.0 project implementation.
- Prepare and execute project-wise action plans, timelines and targets.
- Monitor project performance against approved targets and milestones.
- Ensure timely achievement of enrolment, training, assessment and placement targets.
- Identify operational risks and implement corrective actions.
- Conduct regular review meetings with departmental/team heads.
B. Target & Performance Management
- Develop monthly and quarterly target plans.
- Monitor:
- Mobilization
- Counselling
- Candidate enrolment
- Batch formation
- Training commencement
- Attendance
- Assessment
- Certification
- Placement
- Post-placement tracking
- Ensure minimum dropouts and maximum candidate retention.
- Create performance dashboards for management review.
- Take corrective action wherever targets are below expectations.
C. Candidate Mobilization & Enrolment
- Lead the mobilization strategy for eligible rural candidates.
- Coordinate with Mobilization Managers/Team for village-level activities.
- Develop relationships with local stakeholders, institutions and community networks.
- Ensure candidates meet eligibility requirements.
- Monitor counselling and candidate conversion ratios.
- Ensure sufficient candidates are available before batch commencement.
D. Training Centre & Residential Operations
- Ensure smooth functioning of training centres and residential facilities.
- Monitor infrastructure, classrooms, labs, hostel, food, hygiene and candidate safety.
- Ensure availability of trainers, training material and required resources.
- Monitor daily attendance and discipline.
- Conduct regular centre inspections and operational audits.
- Ensure all facilities are maintained as per project norms.
E. Placement & Employer Engagement
- Take ownership of project placement targets.
- Develop and maintain relationships with companies and employers.
- Lead the placement team and establish a strong employer network.
- Ensure job opportunities match candidate skills and expectations.
- Monitor placement offers, joining and retention.
- Ensure proper documentation and verification of placements.
- Develop strategies for improving placement and retention rates.
F. Compliance & Government Coordination
- Ensure compliance with applicable DDU-GKY 2.0 guidelines, SOPs and contractual requirements.
- Coordinate with State/Project authorities and other government stakeholders.
- Ensure timely submission of reports, documents and project updates.
- Maintain project records and documentation for inspections and audits.
- Ensure corrective actions arising from inspections/audits are completed within timelines.
- Monitor compliance related to candidate, training, assessment and placement documentation.
G. MIS & Reporting
- Review daily, weekly and monthly project MIS.
- Ensure accuracy of data entered by respective departments.
- Track project KPIs through dashboards.
- Analyse gaps between planned and actual performance.
- Submit management reports with actionable recommendations.
- Ensure all project records are updated and properly maintained.
H. Team Management
- Lead and manage all project-level teams.
- Define responsibilities and KPIs for department/team heads.
- Conduct regular performance reviews.
- Improve staff productivity and accountability.
- Identify training requirements for team members.
- Take appropriate action on underperformance.
- Build a result-oriented and disciplined project team.
I. Financial & Resource Management
- Monitor project-related operational expenses.
- Ensure optimum utilization of project resources.
- Coordinate with Finance/Accounts for project expenditure and documentation.
- Monitor procurement requirements and ensure timely availability of essential resources.
- Prevent unnecessary expenditure and improve operational efficiency.
J. Quality Management
- Maintain high standards of training and candidate services.
- Monitor candidate feedback and satisfaction.
- Conduct regular internal quality checks.
- Identify operational gaps and implement improvement plans.
- Ensure project activities are completed within prescribed quality standards.

5. Educational Qualification
Preferred:
- Graduate/Post Graduate in Management, Social Work, Rural Development, Business Administration, HR, Education or a related field.
Additional Advantage:

6. Experience
Preferred Experience: 5–10 years
Candidates with significant experience in the following projects/programs will be preferred:
- DDU-GKY
- DDU-GKY 2.0
- PMKVY
- Skill Development Missions
- Government-funded training projects
- Rural livelihood/skill development projects
- Large-scale training and placement projects
Candidates having experience in managing multiple centres, large candidate batches and end-to-end training-to-placement operations will be preferred.

8. Authority & Accountability The Project Head will have overall operational responsibility for the project and will be accountable for:
Mobilization → Enrolment → Training → Residential Operations → Assessment → Certification → Placement → Retention → Compliance → MIS → Overall Project Performance The Project Head will be expected to identify problems proactively, take corrective measures and report critical issues to senior management without delay.
- Preferred Candidate Profile An ideal candidate should be someone who has already handled a complete skill-development project, understands government project compliance, can manage multiple departments and is capable of converting project targets into measurable results.
The role is not limited to administration; the Project Head will be directly responsible for the overall success, financial discipline, quality, compliance and placement outcomes of the DDU-GKY 2.0 project.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹75,000.00 per month
