Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Flexographic Label Printing Supervisor to oversee day-to-day printing operations, ensure production targets are achieved, maintain consistent print quality, and lead the printing team effectively.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with flexographic label printing machines, inks, substrates, plates, color matching, machine setup, troubleshooting, and quality control. The candidate will be responsible for optimizing machine performance while maintaining safety, quality, productivity, and minimal wastage.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise daily operations of flexographic label printing machines and ensure production schedules are achieved.
- Plan and allocate jobs to operators according to machine availability, production priorities, and manpower.
- Ensure correct machine setup, including cylinders/sleeves, anilox rolls, plates, inks, substrates, and printing parameters.
- Monitor print quality for color accuracy, registration, density, dot reproduction, print defects, and overall appearance.
- Coordinate with the Pre-Press, Quality, Production Planning, Maintenance, and Stores departments for smooth production.
- Troubleshoot printing issues such as color variation, poor registration, ink drying problems, dot gain, pinholes, streaks, dirty print, and substrate-related issues.
- Ensure proper ink preparation, viscosity control, color matching, and ink consumption.
- Monitor machine efficiency, production output, downtime, setup time,



and material wastage.
- Maintain production records, shift reports, job cards, and other required documentation.
- Implement methods to reduce material wastage, setup time, machine downtime, and rejection rates.
- Train, guide, and supervise machine operators and helpers.
- Ensure compliance with approved artwork, job specifications, work instructions, and quality standards.
- Conduct regular inspections during production and take corrective action whenever deviations occur.
- Coordinate with maintenance personnel to resolve mechanical, electrical, and machine-related problems.
- Ensure proper cleaning, housekeeping, and preventive maintenance of printing equipment.
- Follow all company policies related to safety, quality, productivity, and 5S.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity and print quality.

Required Skills & Knowledge
- Robust practical knowledge of flexographic label printing processes.
- Ability to identify and resolve common flexographic printing defects.
- Good knowledge of production planning and shop-floor management.
- Ability to read and understand job specifications and printing standards.
- Strong team-management and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Basic knowledge of production reporting and computer applications.

Experience
- 5–8 years of relevant experience in flexographic label printing.
- Candidates with experience supervising a team in a label printing or flexible packaging environment will be preferred.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
