Position : Production Manager (EV Charger - 4 Wheeler)/ on-grid inveter/ hybrid inverter

Role Purpose

Lead end-to-end production operations for EV Charger (4 Wheeler), On-Grid and Hybrid solar inverter lines, ensuring quality,

throughput, and compliance targets are met through strong hands-on technical oversight and shop-floor discipline.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage daily production planning, line balancing, and manpower allocation across EV Charger, On-Grid and Hybrid solar inverter assembly lines
- Provide hands-on troubleshooting support for electronic (PCBA, power modules, control cards, MPPT/inverter boards) and mechanical (heat sink, enclosure, wiring harness) assembly issues
- Own mandatory testing processes for solar inverters - HIPOT, insulation resistance, burn-in, functional/load testing, grid-sync and communication protocol checks - across On-Grid and Hybrid variants
- Operate and oversee both manual and automated (ATE-based) testing and production lines, ensuring calibration and uptime
- Drive CTQ (Critical to Quality) and CTP (Critical to Process) parameter identification, monitoring, and control at each station
- Implement and sustain 5S, visual management, and shop-floor discipline across the production area.
- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and CAPA for line rejections, field returns, and process deviations
- Coordinate with NPI, Quality,



and Design teams for current product introduction, pilot builds, BOM changes, and line transfer
- Drive capacity planning, line balancing, and cycle time studies for multiple inverter wattage/variant mixes
- Monitor daily production KPIs - OEE, FPY, rejection rate, cycle time - and drive continuous improvement (Kaizen/DMAIC)
- Ensure adherence to safety, ESD, and statutory compliance on the floor
- Manage, train, and develop production supervisors and line operators

Required Skills & Experience

- 8-14 years in 4-wheeler EV Charger/ electronics/solar inverter manufacturing, with at least 3-4 years in a production leadership role
- Hands-on experience in electro-mechanical assembly (PCBA + enclosure/heat sink/wiring integration) for On-Grid and Hybrid inverters
- Strong troubleshooting skills - component-level and system-level for power electronics
- Mandatory hands-on knowledge of inverter testing - safety, functional, grid-sync, and battery- interface (for Hybrid) tests
- Experience running both manual and automated test/production lines
- Working knowledge of CTQ/CTP methodology and process control
- Practical implementation experience of 5S, Lean, and shop-floor management
- Familiarity with solar inverter standards and NPI documentation (Work Instructions, PFDs, BOMs) is a plus.

Qualification

- B.E./B.Tech in Electrical/Electronics/EEE or equivalent
