Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Production Manager for our manufacturing plant in Ahmedabad. The role demands an operational leader with 10 to 15 years of solid track record in managing end-to-end plant operations, shop-floor execution, and factory development in a structural steel fabrication / sheet metal setup.

Key Responsibilities

- Plant Operations: Manage daily plant activities, production scheduling, line balancing, and material flow to achieve monthly production quotas on time.
- Shop-floor Leadership: Supervise fabrication processes including sheet metal shearing, bending, cutting, MIG welding, fixture setting, assembly, and surface treatment/painting.
- Team Management: Direct supervisors, skilled welders, fabricators, and contract labor, optimizing shift allocations and shop-floor discipline.
- Factory Development: Spearhead operational improvements, process streamlining, capacity expansion, 5S, Kaizen, and scrap reduction initiatives.




- Quality & Safety: Maintain strict quality standards as per customer drawings, ensure weld integrity, and uphold robust plant safety (EHS) and machinery maintenance protocols.
- Cross-functional Coordination: Coordinate seamlessly with Planning, Purchase, Quality Assurance, and Dispatch teams to ensure smooth order execution.

Requirements & Qualifications

- Education: B.Tech / B.E. / Diploma in Mechanical, Production, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Experience: 10 to 15 years in factory operations & plant development within a Steel Fabrication / Sheet Metal / Heavy Engineering facility.
- Core Competencies: Heavy fabrication, MIG welding standards, reading engineering/CAD drawings, fixture design basics, manpower handling, and production planning.
