Pharma Purchase & Procurement Executive

Location: Ambernath, Mumbai

Industry : Pharmaceutical Manufacturing (WHO-GMP)

Role Overview

The Purchase Executive will manage the end-to-end sourcing of raw materials (APIs, excipients) and primary/secondary packaging, ensuring all vendors meet WHO-GMP and international export standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Vendor Sourcing & Qualification: Identify and audit suppliers for APIs, chemicals, and packaging materials (lami tubes, bottles, cartons) specifically for ointments, liquids, and cosmetics.

Negotiation & Inventory : Negotiate credit terms, bulk pricing, and lead times to ensure production is never stalled for merchant export orders.

Quality Coordination :



Work closely with QA/QC to ensure received materials pass stringent testing before entering the Batch Manufacturing Record (BMR).

Export Packaging Management : Coordinate with packaging vendors to ensure newly approved export artwork is printed accurately and delivered on time.

Requirements

2-4 years of procurement experience specifically in the pharmaceutical industry.

Established network of active ingredient and packaging suppliers across Maharashtra and Gujarat.

Familiarity with WHO-GMP vendor qualification processes.
