Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Press Machine Operator to operate hydraulic/mechanical press machines for manufacturing automotive components. The candidate should have hands-on experience in press machine operation, basic knowledge of tooling and dies, and the ability to understand engineering drawings and follow quality and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate hydraulic and mechanical press machines as per production requirements.
- Set up the machine, tooling, dies, fixtures, and components before production.
- Perform press operations such as forming, bending, pressing, punching, and assembly as required.
- Read and understand engineering drawings, work instructions, and process specifications.
- Check component dimensions using measuring instruments such as vernier caliper, micrometer, height gauge, and gauges.
- Ensure parts are produced as per required dimensions, tolerances, and quality standards.
- Conduct first-piece inspection and regular in-process inspection.
- Identify defects such as deformation, cracks, dimensional variation, improper forming, and tooling-related issues.
- Maintain proper machine settings and monitor machine performance during production.
- Carry out basic machine cleaning, lubrication, and routine maintenance activities.
- Handle dies, fixtures,



and tools safely and report any damage or abnormalities to the supervisor.
- Follow 5S, safety procedures, PPE requirements, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Maintain production records, inspection records, and rejection/rework details.
- Achieve daily production targets while maintaining required quality standards.
- Coordinate with the Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Tool Room teams whenever required.
- Maintain a clean and secure working area.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical or relevant technical qualification preferred.
- 2–5 years of hands-on experience in press machine operation, preferably in an automotive or engineering manufacturing company.
- Experience with hydraulic press / power press / mechanical press will be preferred.
- Basic knowledge of press tooling, dies, fixtures, and machine setting.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and dimensions.
- Knowledge of basic measuring instruments.
- Good understanding of production quality and workplace safety.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.
- Willingness to work in shift operations and overtime when required.

Pay: ₹10,000.75 - ₹30,000.00 per month
