Role: Senior Teacher

Job Summary

We are looking for a caring, responsible, and experienced Senior Teacher to lead classroom activities and support the overall development, safety, and well-being of children. The Senior Teacher will also guide junior teachers and caregivers, maintain classroom standards, and ensure a safe and engaging learning environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesChildcare & Learning

- Plan and conduct age-appropriate learning, play, creative, and developmental activities.
- Support children’s cognitive, social, emotional, physical, and language development.
- Ensure children receive appropriate care, attention, meals, rest, and hygiene support.
- Observe and document each child’s progress, behavior, and developmental milestones.
- Encourage positive behavior, independence, sharing, communication, and social skills.
- Provide additional support and attention to children who need it.

Classroom Management
- Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and child-friendly classroom.
- Ensure daily routines such as arrival, meals, activities, nap time, and departure are followed properly.
- Manage classroom behavior using positive and age-appropriate methods.
- Ensure all toys, learning materials, and equipment are safe and properly maintained.

Team Leadership
- Guide, supervise, and support junior teachers and caregivers.
- Allocate daily responsibilities and monitor staff performance.
- Conduct regular briefings with the classroom team.
- Ensure teachers follow daycare policies, safety procedures, and child-protection guidelines.
- Support new staff during their induction and training.

Parent Communication




- Maintain regular and skilled communication with parents.
- Share appropriate updates regarding children’s activities, development, meals, sleep, and behavior.
- Address parent concerns professionally and escalate issues to the Daycare Head when required.
- Participate in parent meetings and center events.

Safety & Compliance
- Ensure children are supervised at all times.
- Follow emergency, first-aid, hygiene, and child-safety procedures.
- Immediately report accidents, injuries, illness, or safeguarding concerns to management.
- Maintain accurate daily records, attendance, incident reports, and child-related documentation.
- Follow all daycare policies and applicable childcare regulations.

Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s/Diploma in Early Childhood Education, Montessori, Nursery Teacher Training, or a related field preferred.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in daycare, preschool, nursery, or childcare.
- Strong understanding of early childhood development.
- Excellent communication and classroom-management skills.
- Warm, patient, caring, and responsible personality.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Good observation and problem-solving skills.
- Basic computer skills for maintaining records and reports.
- First-aid/CPR certification is an advantage.

Pay: ₹16,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
