We are looking for a PR & Media Intern who wants to understand how organizations build public visibility, communicate their stories and establish meaningful relationships with media, communities and external platforms.
This is a hands-on, project-based internship where you will work on real BAOIAM initiatives and contribute to actual PR and media activities.
About the Role
As a PR & Media Intern, you will work on activities related to public relations, media outreach, brand visibility, communications and external partnerships .
You will research media opportunities, identify relevant journalists and publications, support press communication, develop PR campaigns and help position BAOIAM and its initiatives in front of relevant audiences.
You will not simply be asked to create theoretical PR plans. You will be expected to research, execute, communicate, follow up and measure outcomes.
Key Responsibilities1. Media Research & Identification
- Research relevant newspapers, digital publications, education portals, business media and industry platforms.
- Identify journalists, editors, reporters and media contacts relevant to BAOIAM.
- Build and maintain media databases.
- Identify opportunities for BAOIAM's initiatives, achievements and stories to receive external coverage.
- Track relevant media trends and topics.
1. PR Opportunity Research
- Identify potential PR opportunities for BAOIAM.
- Research events, interviews, podcasts, webinars, articles and media features.
- Find platforms where BAOIAM's founders, teams or initiatives could be featured.
- Monitor industry conversations and identify opportunities for participation.
1. Press & Media Communication
- Assist in preparing media pitches and outreach messages.
- Draft press releases, media notes and story pitches under guidance.
- Communicate professionally with media contacts.
- Follow up on relevant media opportunities.
- Maintain records of outreach and responses.
1. Brand Storytelling
Work with the team to identify stories that can potentially generate external interest, such as:
- BAOIAM initiatives
- Student success stories
- Internship programs
- Learning initiatives
- New launches
- Partnerships
- Events
- Achievements
- Founder stories
- Industry insights
- Student/community impact
You will learn how to convert an organizational activity into a strong PR story .
1. Media Outreach Campaigns
Depending on your performance and project requirements,
you may be assigned real campaigns involving: Research → Story Development → Media List → Pitch → Outreach → Follow-up → Coverage Tracking
You will be expected to actively contribute to the execution of these campaigns.

Support the creation of:
- Press releases
- Media pitches
- Founder profiles
- Company backgrounders
- Media briefs
- Interview briefs
- Event announcements
- PR campaign documents
- Media communication templates
1. Digital PR & Visibility
Research opportunities across:
- Online publications
- Education platforms
- Startup platforms
- Industry blogs
- Podcasts
- Online communities
- Qualified networks
- Relevant digital media platforms
The objective is to identify legitimate opportunities to increase BAOIAM's external visibility.
1. PR Tracking & Reporting
- Maintain media outreach trackers.
- Track responses and follow-ups.
- Record media opportunities.
- Monitor published coverage.
- Maintain a database of successful and unsuccessful pitches.
- Prepare periodic PR activity reports.
- Track basic PR metrics and outcomes.
Real-World Project Exposure During the 3-month internship, you may work on projects such as:
Project 1 — BAOIAM Media Database
Build a structured database of relevant media publications, journalists, editors, podcasts and digital platforms.
Project 2 — PR Outreach Campaign
Develop and execute an outreach campaign around a selected BAOIAM initiative.
Project 3 — Founder Visibility
Research relevant platforms where the BAOIAM founder/founding team could participate in interviews, podcasts, articles or industry discussions.
Project 4 — Student Success PR
Identify compelling student/intern stories and develop potential media pitches around them.
Project 5 — Education & Career PR
Track current education, employability and career-related conversations and identify opportunities for BAOIAM to contribute.
Project 6 — Media Coverage Tracking
Build a system to track BAOIAM's existing and future external visibility.
Projects will depend on BAOIAM's current priorities and business requirements.
