Post-Silicon Validation Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Post-Silicon Validation Engineer to lead the system bring-up, functional verification, and characterization of our next-generation complex SoCs. In this role, you will bridge the gap between hardware design, pre-silicon verification, and low-level software, ensuring our silicon meets all performance, power, and reliability targets before mass production.

Key Responsibilities

- Silicon Bring-Up & Debug: Lead initial hardware bring-up on first-spin silicon, reference boards, and FPGA prototypes. Root-cause complex interactions between hardware, firmware, and board design.
- Test Plan Development: Define comprehensive post-silicon validation architectures, methodologies, and execution plans covering core logic, power management states, and high-speed interfaces.
- Interface & Electrical Characterization: Validate and stress high-speed serial and parallel protocols (e.g., PCIe, USB, DDR/LPDDR, MIPI, I2C, SPI, Ethernet). Perform signal integrity, timing margin, and jitter analysis across Process, Voltage, and Temperature (PVT) corners.
- Automation & Frameworks: Architect, scale, and maintain automated test frameworks and test suites using Python, C/C++, or C#.
- Lab Instrumentation: Master the operation of high-speed oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, source measurement units (SMUs), and Bit Error Rate Testers (BERT).
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with RTL design, pre-silicon verification,



firmware/software drivers, and manufacturing/ATE teams to drive issues to closure and optimize production yield.

Required Qualifications

- Education: Bachelor’s or diploma's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience: More than 1+ to 10 years of hands-on industry experience in post-silicon validation, hardware bring-up, or mixed-signal SoC characterization.
- Technical Expertise:
- Deep understanding of digital design fundamentals, computer architecture, and embedded systems.
- Proven track record in debugging complex board- and system-level failures using contemporary lab equipment.
- Strong programming and scripting proficiency in Python and C/C++ for test automation and instrument control.
- Familiarity with low-level firmware, bare-metal environments, or operating system driver stacks (Linux/Android).
- Soft Skills: Excellent analytical problem-solving abilities, strong technical communication skills, and the ability to drive cross-functional execution in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

- Experience with pre-silicon environments, FPGA prototyping platforms, or emulators (Palladium, Zebu, Veloce).
- Knowledge of High-Volume Manufacturing (HVM) test flows, System-Level Test (SLT), and production test correlation.

Compensation / Salary: Industry standard based on experience and skill/expertise Pay: ₹200,000.00 - ₹1,500,000.00 per year
