ABOUT THE ROLE -

We are looking for an experienced Planning & Billing Engineer to manage project planning, progress monitoring, and client/subcontractor billing for MEP works at our Jamnagar site. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in MEP execution projects (industrial, commercial, or infrastructure) and strong command over planning tools and billing procedures as per contract terms.

Key Responsibilities-

Planning

- Prepare and update project schedules (L1/L2/L3) for MEP works using MS Project / Primavera P6.
- Coordinate with site execution teams to track daily/weekly progress against baseline schedule.
- Identify delays, critical path issues, and support in preparing recovery/mitigation plans.
- Prepare manpower, material, and equipment planning in line with project milestones.
- Generate progress reports, S-curves, and dashboards for management and client review.
- Coordinate with procurement/store teams to align material delivery with schedule.

Billing
- Prepare Running Account (RA) bills / Interim Payment Certificates as per contract terms (BOQ-based).
- Measure and verify quantities executed at site (mechanical, electrical, plumbing/piping works) for billing.
- Prepare and maintain Measurement Books (MB) and supporting documentation.
- Coordinate with clients/consultants for bill certification and timely payment follow-up.
- Prepare subcontractor bills, reconcile with work orders, and process for approval.
- Track variations, extra items,



and rate analysis; prepare claims/variation bills as required.
- Maintain billing trackers, reconcile with planning progress, and support in cost/revenue reporting.
- Ensure compliance with taxation (GST), retention, and contractual billing terms.

Coordination & Reporting
- Liaise with project managers, site engineers, QS/estimation, and accounts teams.
- Support in preparation of monthly progress reports and MIS for management.
- Assist in contract documentation, correspondence, and dispute resolution related to billing.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Diploma/B.E. in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering (or related field).
- Experience: 3–8 years in Planning & Billing for MEP projects (industrial plants, commercial buildings, refineries, or infrastructure preferred).
- Solid knowledge of BOQ, rate analysis, MB preparation, and RA bill certification .
- Proficiency in MS Project / Primavera P6 , MS Excel (advanced), and AutoCAD (basic, for reference drawings).
- Good understanding of MEP systems – HVAC, plumbing/fire fighting, electrical works.
- Familiarity with contract types (item-rate, lump sum) and standard billing formats.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently at site with minimal supervision.

Preferred
- Prior experience with EPC contractors or industrial projects in the Jamnagar/Saurashtra region.
- Exposure to refinery, petrochemical, or large industrial project environments.
- Working knowledge of GST/billing compliance for construction contracts.
