Samalkha Group of Institutions (SGI) is looking for a proactive and well-connected Placement Officer who will be responsible for securing job placements and internship opportunities for SGI students , particularly final-year students. The primary responsibility of this role is to approach companies, develop strong industry connections, and convert those relationships into actual placement and internship opportunities for students . The ideal candidate should already have a solid network of HR professionals, recruiters, hiring managers and companies and should also be capable of continuously identifying and approaching new organizations for campus recruitment.

Key Responsibilities Place final-year SGI students in suitable companies through existing industry contacts and continuous corporate outreach. Generate new placement opportunities by regularly approaching HR departments, recruiters, Talent Acquisition teams and hiring managers . Leverage existing professional and industry connections to bring companies to SGI for campus placement drives .

Identify companies actively hiring fresh graduates and establish direct communication with their recruitment teams. Arrange on-campus, off-campus and virtual placement drives for students. Secure internship opportunities for SGI students across relevant industries.

Build and continuously expand a database of companies, HR professionals and recruitment contacts. Develop long-term corporate relationships to create recurring placement and internship opportunities for SGI students. Coordinate with companies regarding job descriptions, eligibility criteria, salary packages, interview processes and joining requirements.





Share relevant opportunities with eligible students and coordinate their participation in recruitment drives. Coordinate interviews, assessments, group discussions and other stages of the selection process. Follow up continuously with companies until the recruitment process is completed.

Track students from interview stage through selection, offer letter and joining . Maintain accurate records of companies contacted, interviews conducted, offers received, internships secured and students placed. Coordinate with academic departments to understand the skills, specialization and placement requirements of students.

Identify gaps between industry requirements and student capabilities and provide feedback to the institution. Represent SGI professionally during corporate meetings, industry events, HR meets and networking opportunities. Work towards achieving the institution’s placement and internship targets .

Candidate Requirements

Prior experience in College Placements, Corporate Relations, Recruitment, Talent Acquisition, HR, Staffing or Industry Relations is strongly preferred. Strong existing network of HR professionals, recruiters and corporate decision-makers . Demonstrated ability to generate employment or recruitment opportunities through corporate connections.

Strong corporate outreach, networking, negotiation and relationship-management skills. Comfortable with cold calling, emailing, LinkedIn outreach and direct corporate meetings to develop new company relationships. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong follow-up and coordination abilities. Target-oriented and capable of taking ownership of student placement outcomes.

Experience working with colleges/universities or handling fresher recruitment will be an advantage.
