– PHYSIOTHERAPIST

Job Summary The Physiotherapist will assess patients, develop individualized rehabilitation plans, provide appropriate physiotherapy treatments, monitor patient progress, and maintain accurate clinical records. The role includes rehabilitation support for patients with diabetic foot conditions, neuropathy, post-operative limitations, musculoskeletal pain, and mobility difficulties.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess patients’ physical condition, pain, mobility, muscle strength, balance, posture, and functional limitations.
- Develop and implement individualized physiotherapy and rehabilitation plans according to the doctor’s advice and patient requirements.
- Provide appropriate treatments, including:
- Therapeutic exercises
- Strengthening and stretching exercises
- Balance and gait training
- Pain-management therapy
- Joint-mobility exercises
- Post-operative rehabilitation
- Mobility and functional training
- Provide rehabilitation support for patients with:
- Diabetic neuropathy
- Diabetic foot complications
- Foot and ankle pain
- Heel pain
- Back and knee pain
- Post-operative conditions
- Reduced mobility and balance problems
- Educate patients and caregivers regarding home exercises, safe walking practices, posture, fall prevention, foot protection, and lifestyle modifications.
- Train patients in the safe use of walkers, crutches, walking sticks, braces, orthotics, and prescribed therapeutic footwear.
- Coordinate with doctors, podiatrists, nurses, prosthetists, orthotists, and other healthcare professionals for multidisciplinary patient care.
- Monitor patient progress, reassess treatment outcomes, and modify the rehabilitation plan when required.
- Maintain complete and accurate patient assessment notes, treatment records, progress reports, and discharge summaries.
- Ensure that all physiotherapy equipment is properly maintained, cleaned,
and ready for use.
- Follow hospital infection-control procedures, patient-safety standards, and departmental SOPs.
- Obtain proper patient consent and maintain confidentiality of medical information.
- Support health camps, patient-awareness programmes, staff training, and hospital promotional activities when required.
- Maintain daily patient and treatment statistics and submit reports to management.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Medical Director or Hospital Management.
Qualification
- Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) from a recognized institution.
- Valid registration with the relevant Physiotherapy Council or professional authority.
- Master of Physiotherapy (MPT) will be an added advantage.
Experience
- Freshers may apply.
- One to three years of hospital or rehabilitation experience is preferred.
- Experience in diabetic-foot rehabilitation, orthopaedics, neurology, geriatrics, or post-operative rehabilitation will be an advantage.

- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Patience, empathy, and qualified behaviour
- Basic computer knowledge and clinical documentation skills
- Fluency in English and Tamil or Malayalam, according to the work location
Working Conditions
- Must be willing to work according to hospital duty schedules.
- Must attend emergency or inpatient requirements when assigned.
- Uniform, identification card, punctuality, and professional grooming are mandatory.

Salary Salary will be based on qualification, experience, clinical skills, and hospital policy.
Pay: From ₹18,000.00 per month
