About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior PHP Developer to join our dynamic team at IQVIA in Bangalore. This role is pivotal in designing, developing, and optimizing our enterprise SaaS platform, which serves a diverse set of clients in the healthcare and life sciences sectors. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in backend development, with a focus on building scalable, secure, and high-performance applications.

Working in a hybrid environment, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, QA, and stakeholder groups to deliver innovative solutions that meet business needs. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining and enhancing our platform’s robustness, security, and efficiency, ensuring we continue to provide top-tier services to our clients worldwide.

Qualifications The ideal candidate should possess a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. A minimum of 5-8 years of experience in software development, particularly in full software development lifecycle (SDLC), is essential.



Proven expertise in PHP 8.x, Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), and LAMP stack technologies is required.

Experience working with MVC frameworks such as CakePHP or similar is crucial. Additionally, candidates should have at least three years of experience working with JavaScript frameworks like React, Angular, Bootstrap, Twig, or Vite. Familiarity with database management systems such as MySQL and NoSQL databases, along with cloud platforms like AWS (EC2, S3, RDS), is highly desirable.

Experience in the Life Sciences or Healthcare industry will be considered an advantage, given the company's focus on healthcare solutions.

Responsibilities The Senior PHP Developer at IQVIA will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining backend applications using PHP 8.x and modern MVC frameworks.

Key responsibilities include building and supporting RESTful APIs and integrating third-party services to enhance platform capabilities. The role involves optimizing application performance, scalability, and security to ensure a reliable and efficient user experience. Developing and maintaining comprehensive unit and integration tests will be critical to uphold code quality standards.

The developer will participate actively in code reviews, technical design discussions, and Agile delivery processes, fostering a collaborative environment. Regular communication with product managers,



QA teams, and stakeholders will be necessary to align development efforts with business objectives. Additionally, the role requires staying updated with emerging technologies and best practices to continually improve the platform’s architecture and features.
