About The Role

We are seeking a skilled PHP Developer to join our dynamic development team at Acufore India Private Limited. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance web applications that are secure, scalable, and user-centric. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including frontend developers, project managers, and QA specialists, to deliver end-to-end solutions that align with business objectives.

The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in PHP and related technologies, with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Qualifications The ideal candidate should possess a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven experience of 3+ years in PHP development, specifically with PHP 8+ and frameworks like CodeIgniter, is essential. Strong knowledge of RESTful API development, MVC architecture, and object-oriented programming principles is required.

Candidates should have hands-on experience with MySQL,



including complex SQL queries, database normalization, indexing, and performance optimization. Familiarity with frontend technologies such as JavaScript, jQuery, HTML5, CSS3, and Bootstrap is preferred. Knowledge of version control systems like Git, along with experience in debugging, testing, and deploying applications, is necessary.

Additionally, understanding of web security best practices, including protection against SQL injection, XSS, CSRF, and other vulnerabilities, is crucial for this role.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain secure, scalable, and high-performance web applications using PHP, ensuring adherence to best coding practices and standards. Build and integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services, facilitating seamless communication between different system components. Develop backend modules utilizing CodeIgniter framework and follow proper MVC architecture to ensure modularity and maintainability.

Design, write, and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, indexes, and database structures to enhance application performance. Implement robust authentication, authorization, session management, cookies, and role-based access control mechanisms to secure applications. Identify and resolve security vulnerabilities, performance bottlenecks, and bugs to ensure a smooth user experience.

Integrate external services such as payment gateways, email/SMS APIs, and other third-party tools to extend application functionality. Collaborate with frontend developers to facilitate API integration and develop comprehensive application features. Write clean, reusable,



and well-documented code to promote maintainability and scalability.

Perform debugging, unit testing, and troubleshoot production issues promptly to minimize downtime. Use Git for source code management, following proper branching, merging, and code review practices. Participate actively in requirement analysis, technical discussions, code reviews, testing, and deployment activities.

Monitor application and database performance continuously, making adjustments to optimize response times and resource utilization.
